Pretty place, but a pathetic excuse for a capital city. Worst access to primary health care in the province and the winters are too long; not to mention not pedestrian friendly let alone wheelchair friendly in the winter on its sidewalks. Groceries are insanely expensive, but is also in the rest of the province. Houses are "affordable" but you need an above average income, as utilities and property taxes are high. Rents are high also for newer or remodelled units and NB has the worst tenants' rights in the country.

Worst place to live in Canada. I’ve been here for 7 months and can not wait to leave this town. High taxes, no health care, terrible public transportation, poor choices for entertainment and a very very narrow minded people. If you value these assets do not come to live in Fredericton

They have the worst roads in Canada, potholes forever, worst drivers, old people. Highest taxes, too many refugees, dirty city. I lived there for 7 long years. I hated each day.
