How fast can the solenoid hammers play? Very interesting content 👍
ОтветитьTomato tomato; would it be possible to use a softer material, like rubber, on the mallets or add padding to the carillon mallets to make them less harsh?
ОтветитьMr Rogers Neighborhood theme on the vibraphone please
ОтветитьWOW ! -now: Bass Vibrafone !!!
ОтветитьSugarplum Fairy was gorgeous, thanks!
ОтветитьWhen everything of this organ is finished, I expect Beethoven's Nines on it, at least "Ode to Joy"!
Ответитьenvelope to stepper motor converter? i really wanna hear it change speed with every hit.
EDIT:
and what bout the mute bar??
This is my favorite video by far I just love the sound of the vibes I’ve got to make it to your museum one of these days
ОтветитьAwesome!
This made me want to buy a glockenspiel myself and start soldering. But then I remembered I have no talent at all.
ooooo I'd like to hear it with the organ playing Davy Jones theme!!!
ОтветитьCould it be that your chorus is now a square wave instead of a sinus. It's weird but i think i hear the steps the motor is doing.
ОтветитьWonderful work
ОтветитьNow you don't need a DX7 anymore. HELL it sounds so blooddamn good!
ОтветитьHave we seen his mum in front of a computer yet?
ОтветитьWhat's the latency like? It's amazing to me that you can go from midi to a mechanical movement, and it still be playable.
ОтветитьI was hoping you'd play Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies when you were putting those all together and I wasn't disappointed! That vibraphone sounds so much better with the stepper as well.
ОтветитьWhy are you not mentioning the unique alloy of the screws..
ОтветитьAbsolutely love this!
ОтветитьThis is crazy. Thank all the good in the world that you exist.
ОтветитьFantastic tones!
ОтветитьRed and Black ❤ up the Cherries!
ОтветитьSurprised that all mallets seem to have the same travel time on all three instruments, or the differences are just too small to be noticed
ОтветитьSounds nice and warm and tasty.
ОтветитьThat’s kind of scary with all those Teletubbies up top
ОтветитьBro please just use soft mallets with the little crochet tea cosy type covers. Or leftover furby skins. Whatever but it'd make it wayyyy nicer
ОтветитьYou know what you’re doing dude. Bloody brilliant!
ОтветитьOh how nice....
ОтветитьCool, no idea why they didn't keep this together with the organ, seems like it was a great add-on
ОтветитьVery nice
ОтветитьAll while Martin continues to subminimicrooptimize, making progress towards the revision of the proposal to build the worlds' best marble machine. Congratulations on the speed with which you add to this leviathan.
Ответитьhey! is this sompthing like what was in the organ grinder restraunt? and also, how does this work? i wanna build one!
ОтветитьIs the timing difficult? I am just imagening like an old typewriter how they get jammed if you mash a bunch of keys at a time. Is there any similar problems hooking up modern tech to the old were that is an issue?
ОтветитьSaint Saens' Aquarium From Carnival Of The Animals would be nice :)
ОтветитьYou're Mad, I tell you... Mad! And awesome. 🥰👍
Ответитьgenius !!!
ОтветитьHell yeah
ОтветитьMerry Christmas!
ОтветитьWow! What an accomplishment! I'll bet Anitra's Dance would sound amazing on that.😍
Ответитьit would be really cool to have a web cam in that room, and the ability to play the mallet instruments remotely when the place is locked at night via the web. Haunted Museum?
ОтветитьOne thing I'd change is to make it so that the duration of the note doesn't effect the time the mallet is held down as I think that's dampening the sound. A real player of these will quickly hit it and lift it up, the duration has no control besides for the bar on the vibes
ОтветитьMy dad has converted a marching band type xylophone to midi using solenoids and homemade beaters , it duets with his home built fairground type organ very nicely , he then went on to add a bell ringer using hand bells and solenoids/ beaters , the midi converters you are using g look very similar , if not the same as he uses, he’s also added wireless midi transmission to reduce cabling between organs , he’s 82 !!
ОтветитьStraight outta Compton
ОтветитьMake drill music with this add a beat
ОтветитьLook dad, a computer
ОтветитьThis is great 🥰😘😛
ОтветитьWhat a trip
ОтветитьThat was rad!
