It is an open world, and it allows you to actually do multiple missions. The interesting thing about it is when you're doing your restart, your able to start over in a new universe with a stronger character allowing the player the ability to massively create a cheat for there character Stat, powers, suit, and ship while still allowing you the freedom to still do multiple quests. The other thing to remember is the player is doing all the work to get that massively OP character.

They always use your pictures in loading screens for fallout games.

Photomode becoming loading screens was something that Bethesda carried over from Fallout 76.

As much as I love your videos, it would be nice if you could let us know which videos mainly cater to the PC playerbase rather than the general/console one.

Open world but real open in truth ? Because I believe u can’t travel into a planet without a cutscene . If I’m right

Sometime I think that people that expected complete seamlessness are not remembering the old games right. They were never completely seamless. going into major cities, caves, dungeons and houses all had load screens. there are just a lot more places to go and see.

I've got about 25 hours in my starfield playthrough and for the most part, the only negative feedback I have is seeing npcs clipping through the floor and bodies ragdolling and still moving from collision over 30 seconds or more after killing them.

As for the fast travel part, having also played games like elite dangerous and star citizen, I like the simplicity of the travel system because even though you can travel manually from one planet/moon to the other, it doesn't necessarily mean that I want to spend the time doing that. I feel that only needing to go to the Starmap to grav jump between systems is necessary and there's no issues with all the fast traveling. However I do wish we had some sort of buggy to drive around the map but most likely Bethesda didn't add them on purpose due to the tile sizes. So far I'm enjoying the game and it also somewhat reminds me of games like kotor and the outer worlds, but on a larger scale.

The only thing I've experienced that is annoying was a worm thing that I killed after I killed it kept flopping around on my screen every where I went. I just spun around and it flew away was actually kind of funny. Last thing was a few npcs ive walked past I pick up their dialogue, and I talk to a person with a quest or a vendor, and the dialogue from the other npc covers up what they are saying instead of the quest or vendor npc. That's only happened twice so not bad. Yeah I think this game is great so far do not let bad reviews make you not play it. Especially since it is on gamepass give it a try on September 6th, and just say to hell with reviews get those out of your mind, and just play with a open mind, and no bias.

The other problem i have is how fustraded i got while building an outpost. 1 day and 6 hours on my save right now

After all the hate i was reading it was really upsetting. Been playing for 40hours now and couldnt be happier. Its exactly what i hoped for. People slagging it off must either be children, bots, playstation fans or someone whose never played a besthesda game and expects something different. No one makes a game like this.

not sure if anyone else has figured this out or not but i just now noticed it. when lockpicking, if the symbol that you have highlighted will fit into one of the layered cirlces, the circle will turn blue. so if you highlight a symbol and none turn blue you know that symbol isnt used, or if only one ring lights up you know which layer its used on.

The game is just so souless. Bethesda has been removing player agency from games since fallout 3. Dialog/quests are frustrating linear. This is not a role playing game, its a half decent looter shooter put in a mostly baren space setting.

I don't even like CRPGs, but Baldurs Gate just clowns on Starfield's painfully dumb RPG mechanics.

I just figured out the loading screen tip right before warching this video. Ill say almost no issues playing on XBOX. Small clipping issues at times, and fell through a floor once, but no real issues. The exploration isnt as open as i hoped but to me is a space, better looking Fallout 4. Def more story driven. Like a web of a world. I'm about 30 hours in at least

Bethesda doing what Bethesda always does. They make a Game shell and leave it to the player base to Mod their game to make it what it should have been, Basally they are smart, They get 100's of thousands of man hours of work for free by the community, all the while raking in $70 for a shell game. I give it to Todd, he knows how to sell a half empty box of recycled stuff. To be clear, I am not hating on the game, I am enjoying what it is so far but to say I am not very disappointed in how shallow the game feels to me, isn't true. There is so much to explore and see, but , to me, it feels like looking out over a vast ocean, the mystery and wonder, and as you start walking into it, you don't seem to get any deeper, the water stays ankle level the whole way across. Basically the Fast Travel and Load screen for everything is VERY disappointing.

last 3 years were cutting down on their vision, to fit it on a Series S.., the other 4 years were half wasted on F76..

AND remember, TW3 & F4 came out in the same year,

...in the meantime Cyberpunk came out and had years of polish..
... while Bethesda brought out F76 + many expansions & Starfield (+ forced to cut it down for Series S in the meantime)

looking back, no suprise Starfield is half crap..

I do have to agree with the whole teleporting too much thing. I do wish it was more like NMS where you could land on planets and actually fly between them. I think thats my only criticism. Well that and when you havent explored the entire route to your destination so you have to do a bunch of hops which is really just opening and closing the pause menu. Oh thought of another one, why do they make you land so far away from your target location? The whole world is desolate and I can see the temple. Why land so far away so I have to run every time.

You dont need to open the map for grav jumps either if you have a mission marker! You can also hold B to get up out of the cockpit while in space and use the table nav map. Remember they're not fighters, they're SHIPS

They need to bring a lot of these core mods (missing basic features) fov etc all in a patch as really they should of been there anyway and then on console you’ve 0 options and probably won’t have access to mods for at least a good 6-12 months, also it’ll be doubtful the the ss 🗑️ could even handle mods on starfield…

I gotta say 20 hours in and not one bug made me say "who are you and what have you done with Bugthesda" yes Starfield really did need a better Engine than that old assed Creation Engine 2011 but the updates and the lighting have helped a lot.
Only real thing that I hate about the game so far is the loading screens which thank god my SSD get rid of quick but man is there a lot of them.

One thing i NEVER do is listen to other peoples reviews and opnions especially on games. Someone elses experience doesnt mean jack ish when it comes to how you will feel. I am loving Starfield its exactly what i hoped it would be. The game is just awesome!! Dont let others bring you down the game is INCREDIBLE!!! And yes there are alot of loading screens. But the game is so good i couldnt care less. I dont judge a world based on how open the world is. The game is massive and to me the loading screens are just part of hte package. It is what it is. It does so many things right im not going to nit pick over things that arent really a big deal. Plus playing on Xbox series X the loading screens are literally less than 5 sec long. Not a big deal at all imo.

Alright, here's my take so far. Im playing on PC. The game itself is a ton of fun with what I fear too many things to do. (I know, not possible, but I feel that way) I've sank 30-34 hrs in and so far Im still learning whats going on. The game when it runs well is fun. There are performance issues like it wasnt optimized well at all. The game constantly went from butter smooth to skipping several frames and stuttering at random. Didnt matter what was going on in game. Loading screens were 18-70 sec + depending on where the loading screen was. When the game was going, other than performance issues getting in the way of playing, it was still fun. I was only in 1080p and having these issues. I then had to take a step back and realize I had to turn things down despite the fact I should have been able to play in ultra in 4k with everything on. Or so I felt. After fine tuning, I still had frame drops, but the time they lasted, shortened drastically. They never went away, letting me know something else was going on behind the scenes. The first night, the game crashed to desktop 4x. The 2nd day, it didnt crash to desktop, but almost did numerous times. Usually when I was saving the game, it would almost crash every time. Playing, during frame drops it could almost display like it was about to crash, but after 10 secs it would fix itself. During frame drops, audio skips also happened. Audio also went in and out constantly. I would loose the bmg music playing and only have voices or sfx, then eventually get them back. Lips of npcs would randomly not animate, or their mouths would disappear to reappear, fast forward, then catch up to their dialog. When outside exploring a planet, the game feels great. Same for space battles. Its when your in the cities and going from room to room loading that the game starts feeling annoying. 30-70 secs loading screens should not exist in 2023. I felt like it was 1997 again. All my load screens were just black, so you felt them even more. The game is fun despite all Ive mentioned. So if they ever went away, it'd be dang near a perfect storm. I'd wait until the 2nd launch to see if it gets patched and runs better before recommending. Its a def buy, but after some patches.

Other than that I’m 11 hours in and have been fully immersed in everything‘s. Extremely satisfied with all of the various types of quests.
