Ethan i reach till the part where the script executes and start's reading but when i swipe the card nothing comes up. I bought the whole package kit and started is there any way you can explain how to write it to the card via the same process

Also will it be possible for you to share a video similar to this on how to setup a wave share 3.2 inches touch screen with a raspberry pi3 .... would be really great if you could do one

Hi, many thanks for your tutorial, but after trying lot of different tutorials, i am at the same point..i get no output after executing Read.py.

so is it possible to get more information about your config, for example your /boot/config.txt your raspian version, and your kernel?
I use the latest raspian (2016-05-27-jessie) and kernel: 4.4.20-v7. And which spi-modul do you use? bcm2708 or bcm2835. Do you also use Rpi3?

I checked my wiring 100 times :)

Hi Ethan, I'm sure I'll find a solution soon enough, but my Pi is saying that it "can't open device: No such file or directory"
if you can help, it'd be appreciated, if not, thank you for getting me this far!

hello , so ive done everything that youve said here , SPI is enabled , and i get the program to run
but it doesnt read anything, ive tested the chip on my arduino and it works fine , checked my wiring a dozen of times , still cant find the problem , pls help

I;m using a Pi2B+ with 2016-11-25-raspbian-jessie.
I tried everything same as Thilo Strasser, checked everything cable setting etc. everything looks ok, but still does not work.

can i use a diferent gpio for 8? cause im using gpio8 right now , so for sda conecction in my set up is not gonna fly, thanks dude great video

it's showing no directory found

Hey Ethan,
This worked for me about 7 months ago. I'm trying to do the same thing again on another Pi but when I run the Read.py script I get the error "can't open device: No such file or directory" when the code gets to this line "MIFAREReader = MFRC522.MFRC522()". I'm not sure what it is. I rewrote the Raspbian image and redid everything and I'm still faced with the same error. I wonder if you can help. Thanks!

Hi Ethan I worked according to the video but my pi does not show anything on output when I tap the cards???
Is there anything else that I need to do ??
I am using Pi 3

Hello. I have just started working with raspberry pi b+ model. I've tried everything i watched in this video, but when i came to the point of writing "sudo python Read.py" it is showing "ImportError: no module named spi"
Any help would be appreciated.
