Yes, 8GB and 16GB perform very similarly, if it has high clock speed. But 16GB comes in handy when you want to run background apps like Discord, Dedicated Server, or Wallpaper Engine. From my personal experience, I still use ddr3 1600mhz memory, and my games run more stable and smooth after upgrading from 8GB to 16GB.

As a laptop user, 8gb ram and 16gb on laptop is very huge difference, most of games increased by 50-100 fps

my ram bottlenecks my whole computer when playing games, uses around 98% of ram on average, Ill be doubling that soon so it will be smooth gameplay here on out

It doesn't seem like it in this video but you absolutely need 16gb RAM if you want to play forza horizon 5 decently. On 8gb, it crashes, freezes and you have to go close every other app.

understand why the diference is so little n sometimes the 8gb fps iis slightrky even higher , is the 16gb dual channel sir, 8gbx2 , it has to be more than this, in FPS ,,,,,from experience !!!! i can understand if it was a gaming Laptop but at PC ,it cant be this little difference !!! maybe the gpu is only 1650 thats why idk ????

If your pc is low end buying just a ram kit upgrade goes a long way plus it's cheaper than replacing the whole thing if that's not possible for u.
I got a 11th gen i3 laptop with integrated graphics and came with 8gb ram
I played fort at dogwater graphics that looked like a DS could do better and got 20fps and awful stuttering and lag spikes making it unplayable. I upgraded to 16gb and now the graphics are at least comparable to what I would get on Nintendo switch better or worse but I average 75fps smoothly

The frame graph improve which means the game will be much smoother and will shutter less or will not.

The 1% lows are much better, worthwhile the upgrade

Yeah I dont think this is real I have an 8gb ram and when I play games like pubg super people 2 it crashes even with the lowest graphic setting btw I have a GTX 1660ti

Tbh, the deciding factor I have observed in gaming performance is GPU. You can have 16gb of RAM, but an integrated GPU wont give even close to the performance in terms of FPS and quality as a dedicated one. Quite honestly RAM doesnt make a huge difference here as I can see in the video. RAM will only show noticeable improvement if you dont have a dedicated GPU.

many people think that its ok to play with 8gb there is no difference but if u open taskmanager you can see that the game is consuming full memory when somewhere dosnt feel smoother than 16gb

I notice that in Watch Dogs Legion, the gpu usage is low in the 8GB version (hence lower fps). As games start to use more RAM, upgrading it is a good option so that our gpu stays maxed out.

i accidently didnt fully insert my ram stick so my pc ran with 8gb ram and i played fortnite abd noticed huge stuttering and hardly loading textures

then i opened my task manager and saw only 8 gb of ram were detected so i shut down my pc and noticed the holding clip for the ram stick was still opened and pressed on the ram stick and then it ran like normal

thats what i call the hard way of finding out only 8gb ram gaming is bad

In most games only 10-5 fps is more in 16gb than 8gb but you can use 16gb ram except gaming too so if you have budget to buy 16gb ram then it's good to go if not then is 8gb is also not bad

Sorry but that fsx bench is trash, you should have loaded a city like LA which wouldn't even load with 8gb it just crashes because its not enough, not some forest with nothing going on lol

Diffirence is not in fps, but in stuttering, that you can feel.

I ordered 8gb right now, for about 25 $, to add it to my existing 8gb, I think, these 25 are good invested.

Dont worry about ram 8 gb, because you can setting virtual ram more than 20gb.
