One thing bothered me about this show....every time they showed his bottle of pills it said oxycodone and that's the generic for Percocet. Vicodin is hydrocodone. They actually consulted doctors for this show and not one of them could tell them they got the name of his pills wrong

The accuracy that this show portrays chronic pain as, is outstanding.

He’s miserable and suffering, asking for help, and no one believes him.

House knows full well the results of untreated chronic pain, and that it only creates MORE pain. But the easy answer for everyone else’s is to just dismiss him and pretend it’s all in his head.

Actually, morphine and hydrocodone are both orally equipotent. It's more the fact he wants it injected--and into his spine, no less--that should give the Doctor pause.

Usually in the first scene, it’s House and the team starting to deliberate what’s wrong with the patient. I think this was the first time I saw House wake up and show the true extent of his pain. It takes so much courage just for him to roll out of bed and live another day in agony.

I feel for house. Getting amputated under the knee or under the thigh is one thing. getting amputated above that is a whole new thing.
Its the difference between walking and...well...you cant call it walking.Prothetics for this are modern but...your essentially one legged at this point.
You can restore a leg from the knee down. You can even restore the knee. But up from this....its a better crutch...not more.
