Wow, great filming, awesome editing, good riding and fantastic tips! Subscribing for sure. Thanks for the briliant content!
ОтветитьDon't be afraid to wear motorcycle/ dirt bike/Mx padded underwear. A lot of them have a coccyx pad that may save your tailbone without looking as goofy as a pillow. May not need for everyday riding but for learning could be a good option. Designed to breath pretty well too since riding dirt bikes is a sweaty activity as well. Forcefield and other companies make them.
ОтветитьGood video thanks. This is wisdom. We all know we’re going to learn the hard way or take videos like this seriously early on. Thanks Tufty
ОтветитьGreat advice! 47yo here, need to pickup a BMX bike and ride with my 3yo who''s learning to ride now. +Sub for sure, keep it up!
ОтветитьSaw this title and thought omg what’s the difference? Watched the video and wow, excellent!
ОтветитьThanks guys! I'm 51 and just got back on a bmx after a 35 year break! My how things have changed, and i'm looking forward to my manual journey!
ОтветитьI'm 43 and just picked up a new BMX today with the sole intention to learn to manual, ride a few pump tracks, etc. I've watched a few 'how to manual' videos before today but yours just popped up now. It's awesome! Thanks for the tips. Fingers crossed I can crack looping out.
ОтветитьI rode BMX in the early 70's. (Before it had a name) We modified "found parts" to build our bikes. At well into retirement age, I'm not going to start again. My medical insurance isn't that good! I'll stick to my road and mtb.
ОтветитьJust seeing this after looping out yesterday and jacking up my knee...
ОтветитьI do the deed with my RSD Middlechild singlespeed plusser. Euphoric!
ОтветитьI looped out of a manual but I landed on my tailbone today lol
ОтветитьGreat video, the manual kinda ended me a bit, I’m 46 and was at the park practicing manuals, I looped out really hard and just felt a shock wave go through my body that pushed all the wind out of, long story short, an MRI later I have two herniated discs in my back which are bulging and touching the nerves which serve my foot, permanent burning and pins and needles in my foot and low level back pain, if I’d watched this video first I honestly don’t think I would of looped out so hard or would of saved it, when my discs eventually realign I’m trying again 👍
ОтветитьThank you so very much for thinking of us older than 30; we get ignored the older we get.
ОтветитьI think anyway even the first step is almost impossible if you're an adult.
ОтветитьI am 52 😅
ОтветитьYou guys are fare too cool! I loved this video, it's full of great tips and made me laugh out loud a few times :) Plus, your comment about how long it takes is so real, I've been learning how to wheelie for years now, it's a very slow progress but it's happening gradually and I'm almost there... Still I almost gave up a million times precisely because of all those videos that promise you can learn that skill in only a few weeks; i.e. when you see that's not happening for you you're tempted to stop because you didn't set out your expectations properly to begin with (those videos actually have the opposite effect of what they should be trying to achieve, which is to get you to learn the move in the first place but I guess a lot of them are more about the views)
ОтветитьThanks for this vid!
ОтветитьI am 58 and I want to learn it too! If I wait twenty more years till you make video for 60+ LOL I’ll be 78 then… so no time to wait, starting now!
ОтветитьI'm 84 and I 'm gonna give it a try on my Walmart custom bike
ОтветитьI’m 38 and got into mountain biking 1 year ago cause I HATE cardio at the gym lol this vid gives me much hope 😁
Ответитьim 14 idk why im watching this
ОтветитьI'm 33 and it's not happening. :P There is no practice when you can't even lift your wheel. I probably am lifting my butt (it's kind of the only move that feels natural... to push down with your legs and stand up).
ОтветитьI'm 45 and this video is for me! Great job!
ОтветитьWonder why they call it a manual instead of a wheelie? Wheelie sounds good!
ОтветитьHow cool would i feel ,at 50, leading out a pack of wheelieing older folks, giving it large, showing those kids theres life in these ole dogs yet........
ОтветитьIt's crazy. I had no problem pulling wheelies as a kid. But I have a hard time relearning as "manuals" now
ОтветитьAh, dang it, it was all going great till you pointed the prarie dogs out. 😅
ОтветитьHow about 53?
ОтветитьWhat is the practical purpose of learning to manual? Is it just for fun or are there technical advantages to going down a section of a trail on one wheel as opposed to two?
ОтветитьThis was called riding a wheelie when I grew up
ОтветитьI'm gonna try this on my motorcycle 💀
ОтветитьI miss riding. Want to get back into it. Anyone have any recommendations on bikes?
ОтветитьSometimes I feel bad for learning this at 46 but looking at you, you look totally bad ass. “good for the soul,” indeed!
ОтветитьUseful tips. But I ride mountain bikes. I don’t have a BMX, I don’t have access to a BMX and I’m not going to seek out a BMX. Maybe easier for you to demonstrate, but also showing it on a mountain bike would have been helpful.
Ответитьwhat would be a good bike for a beginner BMX wanting to learn manual? I'm 5'7" and 40+ yo and looking to spend $500 or less. Thank you.
ОтветитьI’m 28 do I qualify?😂
ОтветитьSo .. what the video title suggests is that learning manuals is an age-specific skill? Or is the title merely designed to capture a given age bracket so the algorithm can gear ads to us for denture cream and arthritis cream?
Ответить💡👍💪
ОтветитьYou’d be surprised at how much feathering that rear brake helps with control during the manual.
ОтветитьBest manual video ever thx
ОтветитьIt looks like the margin for error is a lot lower on a bmx, i.e. there is a smaller interval between getting it right and falling on your backside.
ОтветитьJust turned 35,my wife got me a bike frame. About to get back into bmx and I'm super excited
ОтветитьCould you do over and update this video but on a mountain bike?
Ответитьjust bought my first bmx in over 20 years im now 50 and yeah im suffering from a bruised tailbone
ОтветитьI’m 60 been riding for 10 years and have never bothered with it or bunny hopping , but feel like my skills haven’t progressed as far as they should because of neglecting this stuff . I suspect it’s not being in sync with your bike as much as I should be is where I lack by neglecting this stuff .
Old dogs new tricks , is it too late ? ( I am an athletic slim 60 )
Love the attitude!!!
ОтветитьI’m 37, I can’t believe I’m gonna have to relearn how to manual in 3 years. 😭
ОтветитьIt’s hard for me to loop. I need to practice. I’m so damn short hard to get front wheel up
ОтветитьOver 70, what lunatic starts BMX then? Yeah, me.
