As much as I disagree with Jim on his political beliefs….there was a time I really enjoyed him….i still care about him as a person.

It's true. I love making people laugh because it's all I know to do that overrides my insecurities and loss of hope that my life will never be what I want it to be.

I've seen that 'deep rest' idea before, in a meme. On the face of it, the idea is nonsense - that 'depressed' equates with 'deep rest.' There is nothing restful about depression. But the other idea, that you need deep rest from the egoistic persona you show to the world, makes sense.Hopefully, in a state of deep rest, away from the artificial urgency of being oneself, there can be healing, and connection with a deeper, nourishing life.

I just don't particularly like Carey or his brand of humor. I definitely disagree with his politics. He's a psuedo - intellectual. He accurately picks up and regurgitates other people's words, but he doesn't strike me as an original thinker, or capable of moving past his feelings to understand facts, or evidence. The fact that he seems perfectly willing to make people live up to his standards, when he doesn't act in accordance to his words makes him a hipocrite.

I have lost everyone who i have ever known due to their wanting and NEED for attention over the years due to garbage social media. I never turned fake, i never changed the person i am to please others and show off what i have.

I think he is much better as a comic, many actors get this idea that their thoughts and views are rated higher than the average person that is not famous, or rich, or popular. Not true or accurate!!! Just stick to what your profession is......comedy and entertainment. The average person might open your eyes as to wisdom and virtues and good values, even more than yours.
