Towards the end of the game I had the whole map completely routed out with ziplines. So the last hours of the game for me were mostly running to one of my posts, press the button and watch Sam just fly across the map :D Ziplines in this game, if placed right, make this game super easy mode, especially since you can attach the carrier while lining :D

Some of your tips I had already figured out but a ton I didn't even know about. I think I gotta start over now because I got the directors cut. It seems to be alot more stuff, can't wait.

If you have problems with remembering what materials certain MULE camps hoard, place a materials sign within that territory as a marker. As signs can be viewed from the map if you zoom in close enough, you'll be able to track material camps with ease. Keep on keeping on!

My biggest tip is that when you are being attacked by BTs (when they are swarming around you on the ground) you can urinate on them. Quick way to get rid of them and not get sucked into a fight with a larger BT!

I thought I knew all the tips after multiple playthroughs, but you got me with the last one. In the director's cut you can use zip lines with the carriers!!!! I had no idea.

There are alot of materials in the ruined shelter by craftsman... Just access the terminal where you collect his tools, and open the private locker. Great for building roads

Why is there a limit across ALL private lockers?!?! I'm getting this message recently. Fyi newbie and I hoard everything fyi. I'm trying to build out all of the roads before I progress with the main story. I'm having trouble with this for not being able to store anymore and finding Crystals. Any help would be much appreciated. Also, likewise since I am a hoarder, I can literally trade anyone for what I'm looking for. I have TONS of special materials, and resigns. But I NEED crystals BAD as well as Metals and Ceramics. So if anyone is willing to trade with me on PS5, and can meet me at a shared locker, that would be great. If you can't share crystals, then maybe something that would create crystals fyi. Thanks in advance.

What stoping me to play this game is because too many cutscenes

Tons of depth to item management. Game kind of reminds me of Snowrunner/Mudrunner in just hauling stuff with physics being the main challenge

For instance, when Mama mentioned the bola gun initially, she said, "A bola gun, huh? That could be quite useful. As it is, you can use it to restrain human targets without causing harm." She then added an important part that often goes unnoticed due to a lack of attention: "BUT REPLACE THOSE WIRES WITH STRANDS SPUN FROM YOUR BLOOD, AND IT MIGHT EVEN WORK AGAINST BTs." Many, including my friends, completely missed this crucial detail, which I believe you also overlooked. The bola gun can also immobilise "Beach Things," allowing you to pass by without being caught.

Thirdly, let's discuss the title. What kind of information do you expect to know about a game you've just acquired? Don't you think the title is misused and reflects a lack of intelligence or common sense? What exactly would you like to know before embarking on a playthrough of a newly purchased game? Isn't the title overused and misconceived?

It should be more appropriate to say "Tips and Tricks I Learned from the Game" instead of "Tips & Tricks I Wish I Knew." The latter doesn't accurately convey the intended meaning for such a situation.

After all, it's about the experience of playing the game and then sharing the tips and tricks you've acquired, right? Unless you possess divine abilities to foresee game development, it would be nice to phrase it as the tips and tricks you discovered while playing.

Tip: most deliveries (unless there is a road leading directly to your destination) will not require a vehicle and if anything a vehicle will slow you down.

Tip 1: Absolutely nothing you do matters, so just bum rush the main storyline. Don't build shit, don't do any side missions, just watch Hideo's 13 and a half hours of cutscenes like a good little NPC.

Finally picked it up since it was free on Epic and it's not a half bad game. Too bad everything is probably broken down by now lol...

So there's a network, but we can't see availabel orders on this network ?! .. uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Maybe it was obvious to others, but during my 2nd playthrough I realized there's actually alot more "Prepper Bunkers" than the ones you have to visit and connect for the main story, it's worth visiting these optional preppers and delivering their lost cargo if they have any or taking on orders for them in order to connect them to the chiral network so you can build structures, bridges, etc. in their territory, can also get you some neat rewards if you improve your connection (stars) with them.

Why play this game?
Ok, it looks nice, but for me it seemed like a running simulator with some kind of a permanent balancing ingame, to make it even more anoying.
Also watching scenes that are even longer than the time I played it, made me deinstall it after 20min...

This looked like a movie I have to walk through on my own...
If you are interested in the story, you might be willing to do all the walking, but honestly the story sucked from the beginning to what I have seen in those 20min...

This game is crazy. I've owned it for at least 2 years before even trying it. Now that I'm playing it i hav so many questions. Is a Private Locker at just that one place you put something in or do they all connect? Like can i put something in it and take it out at a different place?

Anyone else think they should merge this game and fallout

I can se why many don't like this game. I am at the beginning, and I have no clue wtf I'm supposed to do. Even if it's a good game, it does a pis poor job at making sense. I ran some hooker over. Suddenly she's helping me hide from an invisible monster. And suddenly she disappears. And I have no clue what to do or where to go or how to play. So yes a game can be very good, but if there's no valid explanation on how to play, then nobody will like it. This guide is a bit helpful, but it would more help to have a proper walkthrough tutorial at least for the first chapter. Explaining stuff like controls, menus, or whatever users need to know.

A good tip is to complete the side missions from V. You get some pretty nice upgrades. Also, ziplines are amazing. I can go from first prepper to the Evo-Devo, to the Timefall farm, to the weather station, and back without getting off. Side note about the level 2 zip lines is only one of them needs to be level 2 to have a reach of 350m

What happens to your items in your private locker in building yiu installed when they dully decay?

Just finished this with a dualsense edge and man were the backbuttons clutch for balance without tiring my fingers

Spent a lot of the game building the super highway. Everytime you rest, they reset and respawn with all the building materials in their little bases. All you gotta do to take them out is use a bola gun and kick them unconscious. Everytime I got around 500-100 of metal and ceramics to build the highway. Took me about a week to build the entire thing but it seemed the most efficient way to manage.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this, but I realized something recently.
I like to take my Truck everywhere.
After several interesting routes up the mountain to Elder, and some failed attempts that left me turned back around facing back down the the path i came...
If you scale a mountain path backwards in your vehicle, considering the Truck is "rear-wheel drive," you can more easily get up the trail. Kinda like turning your Truck into a downshifted front-wheel drive.

Started my first playthrough of this game a couple of days ago, so thank you for this video; Lots of good tips and info! I am feeling VERY lost mainly because of the utter mess that is the interface menues. Like the quest log, for example; I've just completely given up on trying to make sense of it. Yikes!

Still managing to pull my own load, pun intended, regardless, though. But that thing is a situation.

Ah my, when i said dont drink 3 Energy Drinks in a row in real life my heart sank. I am a Caffeine addict, To function in life i Drink 3-4 Energy Drinks within 3-5 Hours and just after drinking an energy drink I swallow it down with this thing we get in our Country called a Energy Supplement, Its a powder that comes in a small square Paper packet, that has over 120mg of Caffein plus the 65mg of Caffein of the energy drink. So if i calculate all the packs i drink and Energy Drinks a day, That's nearly over 520mg of Caffein a day, Not every day btw. But at least 2 times a weak. Most of the time i drink 2 Energy packs or just 1-2 Energy drinks a day. My god have mercy on my liver.
