I like that Kaa in the book didn't go after the weakest members in the monkey territory. Even the strongest can get caught up when caught off guard

I had just finished the first and second book and I was surpised that the chapters were not all of the mancub. I enjoy the stories especially the mongoose one.

There are more Mowgli stories later in the book like the time Mowgli stuns Baloo by telling him that there is a Master Word for Hethi, the elephant Lord of the jungle. Baloo and Baghera cannot believe that there could be a master word for Hethi who is portrayed as pretty much above everyone and everything else around him. Mowgli sends Hethi to the human village with instructions to "let in the jungle", ie level the place.

"..have you ever heard of me talk about bandar-log.." it's pronounced - bun-dh-ar l-oh-g.. In hindi it means, Monkey folk :D He just slipped into Hindi, like Hindi speaking indians do when they're speaking English lol

The all biggest questions I have about the movie are to do with that little girl with the weird low woman voice.
The heck is that, and how has the village not run herd out???

Is nobody gonna talk about the monkey part in chapter 2

The best part is that we aren’t even done with Mowgli’s story yet, Rudyard Kipling publish a sequel book to the Jungle Book that also continued Mowgli’s story into adulthood, like when he got his revenge on Boldeyo and the other villagers in the man village who were planning to kill/execute his adopted human family because of his supposed “black magic”. He confronts a cobra with the help of Kaa to retrieve some valuable treasures and picks out a neat dagger. And he fights off a pack of wild dog Dholes.

It's fun watching these years later when you're like "let's get to 5,000 likes!" and it has 62,000.

My question is when do they learn to pilot airplanes?

This wasn’t messed up. It was an OK story I like to think of the stories that’s good sweet better with a good lesson.

I remember my elementary school joint with the middle school did a stage production of The Jungle Book which turned into a hodgepodge of the Disney movie mixed with a bunch of Disney and Broadway songs (some lyrics rewritten for the context of the story) to the point where I'm fairly certain none of what we did was legal in terms of copy write, but I have a DVD recording of it to remind myself that no it wasn't a fever dream second grade me who was obsessed with Disney and Broadway thought up. Anyway, added characters and small story bits were added or altered to pan out the run time and so they could add the extra songs in, and I remembered always being confused as to who Rikki-Tikki-Tavi was as I didn't remember any mongoose with that name appearing in the movie, but learning that there were other stories of other animals in the original book, it now makes sense. Some of these changes seemed to also be from the book such as Baloo teaching the wolf cubs jungle law or the mom calling him "Nathoo".

I think your wrong about the poems . They do serve a purpose because the Author put them in there .

Nothing messed ip about that what tf is your problem .that's the real story ever child deserves to know . There needs to be violence to show them thei role in their masculinity to children or else these children will grow up to be soft and end up mostly being gay like those gay people that just hate everything hkw the world works

As someone who grew up watching shonen mowgli i recognise alot of characters in the book

When i was in 6th grade, we were given the original Jungle Book with all the 3 chapters and rikki-tikki-tavi.

I actually grew up with a mix of this story where it’s like the Disney version except that the end is the same as the book and lots of the characters personalities stay the same as they were in the book.

Gotta admit, that It's not nearly as messed up, as I hoped.
But that might be, because I'm German and I grew up on German fairy tales xD

(As a person who knows hindi)

Raksha= means 'protection' in hindi. (pronounced as Ruh-Kh-Shaa)

Akela = 'alone' in hindi.
(pronounced as Uhh-Kay-Laa)

Baloo(भालू)= 'bear' in hindi.
(pronounced as BHaa-Loo)

Shere Khan(शेर)= 'shere' means 'lion'or 'tiger' in hindi then as shere khan is a Bengal tiger Rudyard Kipling, the author added a 'khan' at the end as the bengali surname.
(Shere is pronounced as Sh-Ay-R)
Now shere' means lion and 'Baag' means tiger in a litteral translation.

bagheera (बघीरा)=In for Hindi panther/leopard.
(although the root word came from 'Baag' which is the term used for Bengal tigers)
('बघीरा'/bagheera is pronounced as Buh-GHee-Raa)

Kaa(का)=('का' is pronounced as Kaa but according to the author it's pronounced as Kar)
Was made-up name from the queer open-mouthed hiss of a big snake(has no meaning in hindi exept in hindi it means 'of', not so significant )

Hathi (हाथी)= It means 'elephant' in hindi.

And as for mowgli, the word dint come from any language (incl hindi)

Rama (रमा) =Also called 'Father Wolf' in the story, is Mowgli's adoptive dad, and 'rama' is a boy's name, in hindi meaning 'stop, stand still, rest, rejoice, be pleased'.

Tabaqui (तंबाकूवी :Taṃbākūvī)= Means 'Dish-Licking Dog' in hindi/urdu, is the golden jackal.
plz don't say तंबाकू/Tumbakoo cuz it means 'Tabaco' and as person who also knows español, spanish has a very awkward meaning for tabaqui I suggest you google it (lol)

Bandar-log( बंदर-लॉग)= litteraly translated is 'monkey-people'
is pronounced as Bun-Dhuhr-LOG(the 'O' in oh no)

And mowgli's "Girlfriend" is shanti
Which means 'peace'
is pronounced as Shaan-Thi.
