A change of coach is not the answer. We just dont have the quality of players to win big things.. We need to adjust to our reality and hope to win as many gold cups as possible.

really really strange decision…his charism and level in tactics is questionnable. He did well at tottenham, since then no real success. looks like a bit like a gamble to get this coach for USA.

USMNT squad isnt as talented as they think it is. Poch is all about running n being fit less tactics, that was the case at PSG n Chelsea (His recent clubs) Hence why the Gallagher issue (Gallagher was his key player and Chelsea owners wanted to sell him)

Robbo is wrong. He made every club better, except psg. I don’t think any manager could have gotten through that nightmare. Chelsea was a mess. He made them infinitely better.

I think a successful 2026 WC campaign for the USMNT is getting out of the group and winning at least one knock out game. I think anything beyond that would icing on the cake. I do believe they have to win one knock out game to make the hire worth it.

Just put some NFL linebacks into your backline and some NBA players into the box. Imagine "Ja Morant raises over the keeper for the header, he takes it with his face, but it doesn't matter, it counts!". lol

Hearing Pochettino speak gives me PTSD from his days at Chelsea.

It's 10 years since he joined Spurs from Southampton... Klopp came to England, overtook Poch in the league, and lapped him in the Champions League final.

Even Arteta, Ten Hag and Conte all won at least the FA Cup... I can't stand this dude.

Poch does amazing with mediocre players that listen him to the T. I think he can do really well with this team. The rest of CONCACAF if cooked until Poch leaves that’s for sure.

Upsets are possible and what other coaches are out there at the national level that make you say wow. Poch clears them all in terms of tactics…

Ragnick is a great benchmark for Poch in this role. Looking at these last couple fixtures, getting these lads to run for each other, seems like an ask. My sense is he can get that much right though.

As someone who grew up playing soccer in the US, it’s clear that most clubs and teams care more about money, than talent. If the US actually took soccer seriously, they would be a powerhouse but the amount of talented kids who get left behind and quit playing bc their parents can’t afford to sign them up to clubs is insane. Even in schools, parents who donate money to the organization get an edge and have their kids picked first to keep the money coming in which is sad but true

If someone doesn't go into a match with the mentality that they can or think they will win, then they are a loser. They play matches for a reason and that is because on any given day, anyone can win. Ask Saudi Arabia with their win over the eventual WC winners, Argentina!

As a US fan, half of US fans live in a delusional world where the MLS is on par with Europe. You can't be a golden generation if you have never won anything more than a previous generation. If they could get more Pulisic level players, then they could be dangerous.

Message flew right over everyone’s heads huh?

You know exactly what he meant by those words (setting up a benchmark that although impossible, should push the players to play at their absolute best).

All these comments “delusional” and “feeding dreams” show who haven’t taken or passed English 101 in college. Illiterate people I swear they are more common then you might think considering they somehow got through high school.
