How to set up inventory in QuickBooks Desktop

Sir what is the difference between "item & Services" and "Inventory Activities"?? Function wise.

Is it possible to preset the the type, tax code, income account, and asset account? I mostly use the same fields when creating new items on the proforma invoice. This would be very helpful as it would reduce the amount of clicks for multiple line items and increase efficiency. Thank you!

is there a feild where you can put a location for your inventory?

I'm using Quickbooks Desktop Pro Plus 2022 and it is not giving me inventory assembly as an option. Why is this and what is the next best option?
