Heaven? Who needs heaven when you have this?
Great stuff! Wonderful performance.
What a great symphony this work is.
You know something's good when you don't stop the playback.
I love this music 🎶🎵❤️
Ответитьgoin g to watch this live in Chile today!! I prefer piano concerto N° 2 in C, but I can't miss a chance to hear my favourite composer live!!
Did anyone else think the conductor was chewing gum
Oh! How I love this!
Which part is from Birdman movie?
So magnificent and sublime .
The first clarinet, who was Claudio Abbado’s favorite but whose name escapes me at the moment, is a god. Such warm and liquid sound. The concertmaster and the first flute are equally as superb, as are the first oboe and the English horn player. Indeed, the entire orchestra plays with a sumptuous sound. Bravi.
Timpanist 🥁♥️💪
Ответитьsound on this you tube recording not so good
The most wonderful performance of this great symphony with maistro pappano performance of this symphony that every time I hear it my eyes tear🎶
This is really touching and Sergei Rachmaninoff composed this very well !
Thank God for this Symphony, this orchestra, this maestro and this clarinet solo <3
This piece melts my heart. So happy I saw this with my wife, was magical!! Cheers.
My best and greatest friend in Russia died in November 2021. I loved him more than anyone on earth. I am a shell with a broken dead heart inside. Every day is empty and the nights are eternal longing for death. As the sun sets, my weeping begins and I bathe myself in tears. Then sleep comes followed by nightmares. I awake and the nightmares continue. We use to share this Adagio. It is all I have of him. I searched my whole long life for such a soul, such a heart as his. The angels were so jealous that they took him. Dear GOD please restore him to me. I want for nothing except him.
Im literally sobbing while studying for math homework, This guy put drugs in his music
Just breathtaking. No words. Will return again and again. Thank you, Maestro, and your wonderful orchestra!
Sounds like a chorus of coughs throughout the recording. So ridiculous.
That night I was there at Proms, all the audience was crazy of joy for so much beauty. One of the most beautiful nights I can remember
This piece, is one of the better things never written, that Third movement is the most beautifull thing that I have never listen. This music is ingenious and I think that Sergei Rachmaninov has been one of the best composers of the musical history and the best of XX century. Thank you Maestro Rachmaninov For this music and For all your compositions, thank you Maestro Antonio Pappano For this interpretation that is near to divine and thank you at all the orchestra but in particular at Maestro Alessandro Carbonare.
This piece ist full off Passion and Ekstase. I love it. Great Interpretation!
Bella interpretazione. Bravo direttore e rava orchestra. L'
Just superb! 🌹❤️🌹
Excellent performance, bravo Pappano and Orchestra of Santa Cecilia
I have NEVER heard more expressive Clarinet playing before. In fact, He (The principal clarinetist) is in the running for most expressive soloist ever in anything: Jazz, rock, classical or pop on any instrument including the voice. His name is Alessandro Carbonare and essentially he is unafraid to let go of the heavy dark sound and move the dynamics. I see he holds masterclasses!!! Listening to all the solos, a strong case could be made for the Italian school of musical expressivity which is due to their wonderful educational system, I assume. Listen to the flute, the oboes, the violins. They don't play a note or phrase without imbuing it with meaning and emotion and purpose. To the glorious strings, I would recommend, at the risk of making them the greatest of orchestras, Kreutzer etude 24, as Heifetz asked his student to study.
The slow movement is so
warm
One my favorite pieces of music, from the time I was 12, and I still love it. This is a beautiful performance—lush, mysterious and emotional.
Only one word: sublime.
Pappano is really sinking his teeth into this one.
Ответитьoh my lord,...…..why was this piece of absolute perfection never mentioned when I was doing my GCSE music back in 1989? Listening to Mozart's 'Shitty 40' seems obsolete now. I feel I could have achieved more from knowing that you can pour so much more than pompous flair and bravado into music, and simple emotion will suffice.
Wonderful performance! Bravo, Maestro!
