I have just gotten a Toyota grand Highlander XLE yesterday. It was ordered for MSRP. Took about 2 weeks to get in. They do offer a 1k rebate but that is about it. Interest rates is 10.6% for good credit. This is insane. The salesman recommended refinancing with a credit union after 2 payments.

In 2010, I bought a 2010 Chevy Silverado LTZ for 35,000 dollars. I want to by a 2024 Chevy Silverado 2500 duramax crew cab long bed LTZ or High Country. They want 78 to 81,000. Do you think that these proces are going to drop in 2024. Along with the high interest rate, do you think GM are going to drop proces and when? I am in no rush to buy, but I do not want to get in over my head. and pay 1500 per month no way.

Pricing will never fall... Just like housing, once prices go up they never come back down. Interest rates are the only thing that could possibly change. We will never see an interest rate below 5% either.

This is my opinion, I believe supply and demand does not matter anymore. It is all about the baseline price.

In the Toronto and surrounding areas new car inventory is really down, and so is the used car inventory. And prices are still crazy. Now if you want to buy a large truck from the big three there are lots around. Especially if you want a black or white one. And the showrooms are empty so far this new year.

The big problem is the mega inflation after the ...PLANDEMIC.... is the mark ups and the car insurances you buy any car now days and guess what just for insurance you be paying more or the same as you monthly car payment that's like paying for 2 cars a total ripped off for 2024 🤮🤮🤮

Looking to buy a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle from BMW, Mercedes, Audi or Volvo. I realize prices are better now than a year ago, but wonder if I'm better off waiting a few more months even though I want that car NOW.

I have been looking at 2023 and the dealers don't want to make a deal. A lot of them say what the sticker price is what you pay. Cars will have to come down so your average person can buy one. Even high mileage cars they want top dollar

No matter how much incentives the manufacturers throw in for the consumers. These "stealerships" will keep packing it up with unnecessary add-ons and bogus ADM's such as poly coat protection BS. Come check the window stickers in dealer lots here in Las Vegas, you'll be disgusted. Hyundai and Stellantis dealerships are notorious for this stunt, so as Toyota. Here in the west, fleet dealerships purposely shrink their inventory to create an affirmed inventory scarecity. One day these fuckers will get it from the bull, especially Cox Automotive for manipulating the nationwide overall value of new and used vehicles.

I understand the reasoning with what’s going on in the market but dealers need to understand that satisfaction with customers is more important than certain amounts of profit and even tho these market trends are happening theres nothing stopping you from bucking market trends to create happy, recurring customers or people wont buy from you because they know youre nickel and dime-ing them at every corner. To me its just greed and these wealthy dealership owners need a serious evaluation of their priorities if they want conditions to be better.

Yes you're right. Prices are high. This means I will not buy a new or used car. This is why the inventory is high, because people are not stupid and won't waste their money. I will literally walk before I overpay for a vehicle. If prices remain high, I will remain walking. I am not a sucker. There are some stupid people though, and some people desperate enough to spend double or triple. Not this dude. I want a deal, and I want to pay less. I know what cars are worth, and right now, they are worthless. Ask someone to spend 2 years salary on a car for a debt that will cost them 7 years salary through interest, you're absolutely mentally insane.

Last month, my GF and I went to buy her a 2018 4runner, trading in her 2011 4runner. The dealership at first offered us $500 for her older one. Then after stressful haggling decided that $3000 was fair. We told them to kick rocks and didn't accept their offer and sold it private party for $9000 after only 24 hours on the market - could have got more but didn't want to wait. Really stinks when consumers are banking on their trade going towards their downpayment though as probably many people can't wait to sell private and then not have a car in the interim.

It’s unfortunate that dealerships are unwilling to drop prices to sensible levels. Ford for some reason has held up releasing the 2024 Ford Ranger. The reasons given are the UAW strike and parts. I think another reason is that Ford can’t get rid of the 2023 F150s on the lots. I’ve seen 25 F150s on one dealership lot where the discounts on some of them is over 12k and they are still not selling.

why don't you guys give some realistic information on the used car market under $10k? The number of people who buy used under 10K is incredibly substantial. I would say it's at least as many or more than over it. I will go ahead and give you the correct info. That market is not going down. It's going up. People are slowing down on cars over 20k and telling their spouse of themselves they are going to buy something cheap until this blows over, which in reality, make take years, and it drives up the market under 10k significantly.

Was going after a 2023 charger RT the dealer had them marked at 39k ask for the for the out the door price he told me 45k they wanted to add security protection that know most people would turn down that was $3,500 I told them I didn’t need it I could add my own security way cheaper than $3,500 they said it had already been added to the car I told them have a nice day. They have so much inventory had at least 25 RT models sitting they will drop the price of them sooner or later. Those cars haven’t a update in years and they are still charging top dollar makes zero sense to me

Piece of advice check first or get new one than used you might be surprise with the interest rate of new than used one.. with current interest rate now were crazy high for 7-8% compared to the last good one by end of year 2022 below 2%. Rate for new one was lower than used so check first before buying seems they don’t tackle that here new one now in some brand only have 2.9% -3.5% or below 4% slashing half of the current rate! So be smart and don’t focus much on used flooding inventory theres always a reason this people doing business and advising ,gather and collect to have smart decision.

You will be asking people to take one of the cars home with them unfortunately the car market hasn’t bonded out yet in the UK. They can’t give them away and when they do people bring them back defaults and repossessions seem to be on the table at this present moment One thing we can say about electric cars if they do have a place in our automotive industry but did this present moment. It will be interesting to see where they will be. If you cannot recycle electric batteries of any kind including solar panels the science must be found to recycle them And I think everybody hates plastic in our seas. Regards Alan from down under.
