Can't believe anyone found this helpful. Not one person in the comments has mentioned that the HTML site WAS NOT converted to Wordpress but only uploaded to another directory. You CANNOT edit this new page within the Wordpress interface.

But that page was not converted in wordpress, you can not edit it from wordpress, to edit it you will have to use some text editor and re-upload the file.
