"Just a warning I am not a professional guitar player"
proceeds to wail on the guitar like a pro
LOL great video very informational
This is great man, thanks for this!
For anyone reading wondering how to record the midi information in Reaper, it works a little different to Logic. What you need to do is
- set up a track for your guitar DI, and load Midi Guitar 2 onto that track
- set up a virtual instrument track (with your synth plugin of choice)
- send the guitar DI track to the virtual instrument track
- hit record on both tracks, but also right click the record button on the virtual instrument track and choose "Record: output", "Record Output: MIDI"
and you should be good to go! Cheers!
Could you use this to put your drum plugin's kick, bass midi and guitar chugs in at the same time?
ОтветитьYou shred like a pro man
Ответитьcan you do this with an existing guitar riff?
ОтветитьThank you for this video! You are an excellent guitar player man. Can’t wait to try this plugin!!

ОтветитьThis is awesome! I’m not the greatest on piano so traditional keyboard midi controllers make it a bit difficult to create music. Having my guitar as a midi controller will give me a big advantage! Thank you!
Ответитьdoes this works with FL studio?
ОтветитьSlow the recording down by 50%, and change the pitch up an octave, and you will have more accurate MIDI data.
ОтветитьQuestion, does the software come with virtual instruments? Or how does that work? Would I have to go buy a bunch of virtual instruments after?
ОтветитьThis is exactly what I was looking for. 😮😮😮😮 Crazy ELP sound. Totally insane.
ОтветитьI just thought I'd add to my original post. I bought a license of MG2. Haven't sat down and used it that much yet, but I'll say this -- it outperforms my Roland GR-33. So time to retire that old beast. It served me well, but MG2 definitely has more legs for what I need.
ОтветитьMy Brother this sure is an amazing evolution from those low life days, the name threw me off at first but the playing and guitar in your other vids I knew it was my children of bodom master shredder. It sure is great seeing you I hope everything in your world is wonderful in these trying times and thank you for making mayday a great one! Md
ОтветитьI had serious issues with latency with JamOrigin esp. in polyphonic playing, so I never upgraded from the trial version. Any tips on how to improve that?
Ответитьoooo the solo sounds so great by itself....you have learned well....wow. Kinda sound like Van Halen
ОтветитьChargers! Bolt Up!
ОтветитьThis information did not help me
ОтветитьVafa these nuts
ОтветитьI like those sequences you were playing in the first part -- very JS Bach-ian. I can recall playing around with MIDI Guitar back in the early days of pre-version 1, and I thought it had possibilities, but I wasn't impressed -- yet. I've been hanging in there with my old Roland GR-33 Guitar Synth. But it is limited and doesn't track all that well. So after listening to the tracking you were achieving, I think it's time to switch. Thanks.
ОтветитьChange a string only when it breaks
ОтветитьThanks, Vafa. Thanks to you, I just downloaded the plug-in. It's wonderful
ОтветитьI would be grateful if u could help me. I cant play anything on Midi guitar 2 without getting unwanted notes. It ruins everything for me. How do i get rid of it
ОтветитьIt still sounds like a Guitar. Does it respond slow? Also, did you have your room mixed in there? Because it sounds like a guitar.
ОтветитьVry informative.
ОтветитьI don't give a shit about your guitar wankery and how Yngwie was your inspiration, cut the video in half and get to the point for fuck sake
ОтветитьIs it possible to do it with an acoustic guitar?
ОтветитьHomie you look like John Ritter, and that's a compliment.
ОтветитьThanks for taking the time to upload and share this valuable information!
ОтветитьTotally great to convert the typical ear piercing tone of guitar rosomething else..keep the music coming
Ответитьwait so i can actually make synthesizer sounds without a midi keyboard and jsut with an electric guitar and midi guitar 2? Im planning on making electronic music
ОтветитьHow does this compare to something like the jamestik midi guitar?
Ответитьthank you so much for this video, I love watching people genuinely enjoy the process of creating music.
also that glass of water by your set up gives me anxiety 🙃 haha
Thanks for the video! I am trying to get Jam Origin to work and I can hear it when I run into my audio interface and even see the midi showing up on my protools track. But then when I try to play it back it's all greyed out. Any idea why that could be?
Ответитьhow did you get it work with drop c? under tuning option the lowist it goes is d standard.
ОтветитьThanks for the video. I find myself playing things I never would have otherwise when playing with a new sound. What are the limitations of the MIDI Guitar 2 demo?
ОтветитьVafa, one question? Can the MIDI Guitar 2 Change tunings of independant strings? i know its POLYPHONIC and you can change pitch but not sure of individual strings?
ОтветитьJust stick to ur guitar sounds.....the sounds are not as grand as on keyboards..these synth vsts are meant for keyboardist since ages ago ...everyone noes that...I’m a drummer btw...
ОтветитьRecuerdo que cuando era un niño, veía tus videos de children of bodom covers en la red SG hahaha. Hace mucho tiempo. Sigue así!! 💪🏻
ОтветитьDuuude, this is so cool. I'm gonna try this whenever I can get back into recording. Will probably need to rewatch this tutorial when the time comes. Good job making it, bro. Gonna share it.
ОтветитьWhoa. Dude I never knew you could do this. Wtf I wanna try this now lol
Ответитьdamn thats pretty sick, might try this out in the future!
