Loved this video! The images don’t really appeal to me as you know I love bright colors, but you make them so interesting. I love your explanations on things and I love hearing how excited and happy you are about these
Images that appeal to you! Makes me happy.

I’m so glad I saw someone’s explanation on Kodak. I just did a Kodak one and was pleasantly surprised! It was saturated and sharp and the backing was purple! I see now that they were being passed back and forth between companies and it looks like you got the dud one! The one I did was from 2022.

Thanks for a wonderful video!❤

You are so fortunate to have these rare puzzles in your collection. Although I was immediately drawn to The Battle of Gibralter, my very, very favorite is By The Bridge. The Waddingtons' edition of "By The Bridge" (Frederick Bridgeman or - Bridgman?) appears to be rare. I saw that a puzzle company called Anker Internatonal has a version of it in which the horse the man is riding looks darker and the soft warm golden peachy rose tone of your Waddingtons' puzzle is gone. Have you ever heard of Anker International? This may not be AI but the look of the By The Bridge puzzle has changed and not in a way that is pleasing to me. I would love to see you work By The Bridge.

Hate to sound like the cranky old guy, but they just don’t make them like they used to. I have lots of vintage puzzles in my collection. The quality is better as is the choice of image—generally speaking. That said, there are some modern puzzles that I also really like.

Hey Ric! What an awesome collection of puzzles. I think "By The Bridge" and "Chester" were my favorites. But I was really shocked on the print quality of that Kodak puzzle! I was thinking about picking one up recently, and I'm glad I didn't. Also, you were very lucky to get some $1 sets! Can't wait to see you complete these 😁

I loved the 80’s Ramsau too, the one with the red box. it would be a refreshing video to watch even though it looks oddly old, thats for sure. So many beautiful jigsaws here. And so cheap too, lucky for you 👏

I love your videos, your narratives and visuals. The best puzzles here are 1. Chaster 2. Star trek. All others are great as well, my kind of puzzles. Thank you for all the detailed information here. No wonder why you are getting so many subscribers so fast, Ric, well done. 💯🧩👏

Hi Ric, wow, you scored! I never heard of Waddingtons before, but they are going for big bucks on eBay! I had some good luck thrifting the other day - 10 puzzles for $20, including a new Lantern Press puzzle that retails for $29 and a mint condition New York Puzzle Company. Your puzzles are very interesting, but my old eyes need bright colors to work with these days. And 1,000 pieces are my limit. I do love that Au Printemps one. Your videos are so well done and engaging!

Welllll.. as I watched the video I kept saying to myself... OH Ric do that one first.. I love it.. then after saying that 7 more times.. They all were very nice.. I think Chester is the top one.. no the Belgin one... or maybe ??? lol... I have said before anyone can buy new... its the hunt and the thrill of the find that's best.. and what a smile you had when you picked up the two sided one for 50 cents.....fun & interesting as always and Congrats on 1000 subscribes.... you will be there by the time I finish this comment!!!!

My wife and I JUST finished a boat puzzle we picked up, mostly because it was on sale. Seagulls at Staithes by Gibsons. Then we went down the rabbit hole by Googling "Staithes", a beautiful village in England with a unique boating/fishing culture. Turned out to be an educationally interesting and very fun puzzle.

Hey! 1981 is NOT old-old . . . haha. Curious why the Star Trek puzzle has the extra reinforcement cardboard inside. Pedantic observation, I know. Enjoying the vintage finds, I think the John Constable is my favorite. Fake or Fortune has a very interesting episode featuring one of his paintings. I think fine art puzzles feel classy to build, add a nice glass of wine and feel extra esoteric. . . .

Funny thing...in the video of the recycling center, behind the front stack there was one of a pink water lily 550 piece puzzle. I just got that one at a thrift here in the US and completed it. It looked really challenging with all the gray but had a lot of subtle variations and was lots of good fun. It was an old random house 😁

Well you certainly had an interesting array of old puzzles there and such bargain prices too.👍 Most of the images were ones that don't appeal to me. I did like the Au Printemps one but not enough to try and find one. Blurry jigsaws are definitely a no-no so I guess you may not do those? There can be some amazing vintage puzzles to be found and providing the price is sensible, may as well acquire them.

Hi, I have done that 2000 pc Holdson Battle of Gibraltar and you'll want to make sure to have your Weetbix before starting that one! It had all the Holdson features of reasonably unique piece cut and nicely printed image (good) but was incredibly loose fitting (not so good). The image being a painting and so many similar colour and texture areas was challenging, but it did look really great when assembled. I think you will enjoy it but just know it will be a challenge and to take it slow. Also since you have so many Waddingtons in each piece size and vintage, it would be interesting to see if any of them have the same piece cut, then you could do some fun mix and match puzzle art after assembling them.

That battle puzzle with 2k pieces is gonna be rough- boy thats a lot of same colors!! The 3k I think would surprise you how easy it will go- lots of texture and colors!! I just did the Karen Puzzles 3k and it wasn't nearly as scary other than space for it LOL

Very nice finds! You will be busy for quite some time. I like the Waddington's 1500 pc Chester the best and the Waddington's 1000 pc Au Printemps. The Kodak puzzles from what I understand are better by RoseArt instead of CraZart. There is something very magical about Amsterdam. I have a few puzzles with some scene in Amsterdam. Thank you for another interesting video Ric! 🙂🙂🙂🧩🧩🧩

Ric this collection is amazing. I kind of envy you for finding so many amazing puzzles. My favourite here is the Ramsau Germany, it looks very old and dated, hence my preference for today. I'm kinda getting tired of brand new jigsaws over and over, something old would be very refreshing at this stage.
