The removal of the Zapping system is why REmake2 isn't the definitive version of Claire and Leon's story in my opinion. Resident Evil 2 is the game where the series found its footing, where all the issues from the first (bad voice acting/writing, removal of auto-aim in the export, over-lit areas, scares that would age like milk, terrible live-action cutscenes and more bad voice acting/writing) were fixed in one way or another to result in one of gaming's best second outings.

Resident Evil 1996 was the [admittedly groundbreaking] dress rehearsal. Resident Evil 2 was the main event.

What you play this on? It looks so crisp

When I played it in 1998-99, I remember it was a challenge, I helped myself with the magazines bought at the newsstand.
You can't imagine how many times I've completed it, with all the story possibilities, collect everything or collect nothing, it was always a blast.
The only thing I couldn't complete was the Tofu mode.

I'm sure the game's designers wanted more interaction between Claire and Leon in the game, but the PlayStation probably had less processing capability than the phone most of us are watching this on.

a buddy and i in high school did this once. we moved two tvs next to each other and played both scenarios side by side. we werent very good so we didnt get very far in the session but it was fun to do. almost felt like we were playing a 2 player mode of resident evil 2

Great job! Without a doubt, I would have loved to have seen the crocodile's head exploded, as well as a visit to the experiment room (one of the favorite rooms in this game)... An idea/suggestion to adjust the time would be, instead of walking around, it would be interesting to read the files with the another character, as if he needed to review something.
