The winter level concept art was repurposed or solely made for Ice Cap in Sonic 3.

Didn't Madness Mountain use the Mystic Cave P1 theme? I thought it was said to originally be composed for a haunted house level?

Emerald Hill theme was, in one demo, Star Light's music

Even if not meant for Sand Shower specfically, I still think Aquatic Ruin was definitely composed for a desert level. You don't put the first half of the Good, Bad, and Ugly riff in there expecting a level made of 50% water.

Where does the "Sand Shower" screenshot originate from?

While I agree that the Sand Ocean music theme was Oil Ocean's final theme, I think the mock-up was for Dust Hill, and the Aquatic Ruins theme would have been the Dust Hill theme. I'm not sure if there's any actual art for what would have been Sand Shower.

I didnt include Tropical Sun because i believe that it was scrapped so early in development that it either never had music or its music was repurposed for another zone

Also I didnt include blue ocean or madness mountain because i think that blue ocean is just an early name for hidden palace, and madness mountain is an early version of mystic cave.

Anyone else feel like Sonic Team used Ocean Wind as inspiration for Wave Ocean, or is it just a coincidence?

Hidden Palace was originally intended to use what eventually became Mystic Cave's 2P theme, but the decision was later to make it use the unused theme instead.
This can be seen even in the final game, where if you force the game to load Hidden Palace with a Game Genie code, the unused theme plays in the background
