The tutorial says 5.3, but can it be done in 5.1 as well?

awesome tutorial sir. I tried to make the monster a geometry collection (to destroy it with chaos) and suddenly none of the collisions worked ? I ticked the geo collections box in "collide against" but nothing worked...

Is there a way to animate the emitter in secuencer so it stops blowing smoke in a certain frame?

I'm trying to drag and drop my niagara asset in my scene but it doesn't display. It does display on the test opening level tho. I don't know what's going on do you have an idea ?

Fantastic tutorial, really easy to understand and follow! Thank you
I wonder if fluid simulation is usable in real time games or is it way too heavy? Is exporting a multi-frame texture into flipbook in EmberGen is the best way to have fluid vfx into real time game?

Awesome tutorial, was exactly what i needed, except for one small thing. Do you know how to make it burst out the smoke rather than having it spawn as a stream, or at least stop it from spawning after some time? Tried cancelling deactivating it in sequencer but the whole smoke disappears.

My VFX job was canned thanks to the ongoing strikes and overall downsizing, so I decided to have a go of getting into some real-time effects. So finding your videos has been immensely helpful, thank you. If I can spare a few dollars I'll grab a course from you sometime.

wonderfully informative tutorial. I am wondering if theres anything you suggest when getting gpu crashes in doing a cinematic render. I've set the max axis to 1000 and get a gpu crash when doing a sequence render on my rtx 3090.
Is 1000 just too much?

Great tutorial, thank you for that ! But here a nerdy comment: Why is everybody calling it "niagra" ?! It´s called "niAgara" like the Niagara falls, or am I wrong ?! Again, sorry for beeing a pain ; ) ...The tutorial IS great!

Just looking at this, I think my gpu will start producing smoke before rendering a single frame

Hello there!
I have a question for you:
When we do a render in the MRQ, how can we get the simulation working directly from the beginning of the sequence, and not waiting for the smoke to fall on the ground? (its taking to much time for my scene...)
Is there a setting to adjust?
Thank you for your help! :)

It seems my smoke isn't colliding like it should with the monster. I added the tag to the monster just as you showed in the video, but I can't get the results you have. It looks like the smoke is colliding with the monster in it's beginning pose, but the smoke doesn't move when the monster moves its arms through it. Any idea what this might cause ? I have an RTX 3090 and Ryzen 5950X, so I don't think it's a hardware problem.

Hmm, just testing it on 5.3 according to your setup, but the smoke seems to be pitch black. Trying it in my custom scene, but also in UE default archviz scene. Any idea? Thank you!

I received this tutorial from you a few days ago and it came at just the right time. I was finishing my first music video for Universal Music, I couldn't be happier, and I used this Cryogenic effect in one of the final scenes. The final touch, you raised the bar on my work, thank you very much.
