Tbh, this is the first time I like the English dub. Seriously, the VA can deliver the emotion perfectly.. you know how the character feels only through the voice. Hm.. This is interesting

I love these two so much. Neuvillette needs Navia's humanity to learn compassion in order to have true justice while Navia needs Neuvillette's presence to vent out her sorrow she has kept for so long.
Two of them cannot be a complete character without each other.
It is like Father's best friend and his daughter dynamic.

Damn Neuvilette, after losing his original archon he too lost one of his friend Callas. Navia father is the one who support the Aquabus construction, the Navia line is named after her, and there's also Callas line

What i like about this is this:
I can understand and sympathize with both, Navia and Neuvvilette.

Navia has every right to be upset about the situation and that Neuvillette didn't stop the duell that was clearly unfavorable towards her father, despite Neuvillette's own personal doubts.

But from Neuvillette's side its also clear that he has to treat careful in his role as Chief Justice.
Laws only have as much power as people believe in them and are willing to enforce them.

And if the Chief Justice makes ecxeptions based on his own personal feelings instead of the facts, that can disolve that believe quickly.

Neuvillette was trapped in a "Be lawful or be good" situation and his position did not allow him to make the "be good" choice, no matter how much he might regret it.

Navia is the first character to actually have tears animated, no?

actually this is the first time i prefer the Eng voice on navia than japanese version. to me the emotion when she started crying is showing on the voice, while on japanese its flat like when she is still not crying

Ngl, my problem with this quest is that it's too dramatic. Forcing tension between Navia and Neuvillete by info dumping her story just doesn't do it for me. This is to say that the VAs aren't really a problem here but rather just the general storytelling and how Genshin just relies on telling rather than showing their plots.

I really wish Navia will introduce a new mechanic with Geo because right now it's pretty much left out

I believe Neuvillette can't express his emotions like a normal human would. But just like a human, i dont think he is apathetic or emotionless. He still has feelings. He just has a different way of expressing his emotions. In his case, when he is sad, or "crying, it rains. He might not cry physically on his person, but his sadness that causes rain might as well be equivalent to to his version of crying. At least, thats how I interpret it.

He needs to make an apology with tears right now

Her voice acting is amazing. You can actually tell she is on the verge of tears and wants to cry. All the fontaine characters have such amazing en vas.

Brenna Larsen did a fantastic job in this scene.

Navi's VA did so well. I can hear the shaking in her voice, trying to hold on the final straw of her decency. Now THIS is the reason for me to play the game again after dry patches.

Navia’s part of the story makes me want to pull her 1000x more

I just realized that there’s this thing where people saying he’s a dragon. What if Neuvilette was the hydro dragon and the little myth saying when the hydro dragon cries it starts to rain. SO HE WAS PROBABLY REALLY SAD OR CRYING AFTER THE MEETING WITH NAVIA AND TRAVELER DUE TO THE RAIN ONCES THEY LEFT HIS OFFICE

Navia and Neuvillettes voice actors did such a great job. Especially Navia, with how well they were able to capture her emotions. One of the best performances in all of the game so far

It is moments like these that make me like Fontaine more than previous regions. Sumeru was of course great but I love how Fontaine has mastered the art of drama, teary stories. Neuvilette and Navia was by far the highlight of this update simply to their emotional moments.
