Thank you Mel! I am so glad to have found you. I watched this podcast yesterday. This morning, I started changing up my morning routine. I moved more and I walked outside for 5 minutes. I think getting that little bit of fresh air in the middle of winter is helping my mood and productivity today. Thank you!

I struggle getting up ! Once I do I just rather go lay back down maybe I just suck 😂I try ! I Had all these vitamins and what not maybe I’m just lazy idk 🤷‍♀️. I wish I was on the go none stop ❤

2023 was an absolute flop for me in every conceivable way. With your help this is going to be different. I have stage 3 hypertension and pre-diabetes, my marriage is a roomie situation and our finances are in the gutter. I could go on that's tip of the iceberg but I'm 43 and hopefully have lots of life left. I've been working hard this year to change my life and tomorrow I will start a morning routine.

Hi @melrobbins Loved this episode. I am a huge snooze buttoner and really want to overhaul my morning routine. My job begins at 6am so getting up earlier to do a routine is something I struggle with. I'm wondering if there is science regarding sleep that says what the optimal amount and time of day is. As long as I get "enough" sleep does it matter what time of day/night it occurs? Thanks!!

Morning all, great episode and I love Mel’s approach. However, I’m working night shift as a nurse. I do not have morning routine, only because I, simply, do not have mornings….. “ it’s sucks!” Most of you might say… but I love my job! Not the hours…. It this case, I hope Mel would be able to read my post and might be very helpful for me. Mel, could you be so kind to search up for me on how to bring myself to “ be open to new opportunities and be able not have a fear of changes “ kind of topic. Thank you everyone in Mel’s team for their amazing job! Looking forward to next podcast.

Hi Mel,

Thank you so much for your free workbook download! I've been thrilled while using it! (Yeah, I'm a thinker. I have over 100 journals!) But I'm being very clear about how to actually DO what I value. What was very powerful to me was asking myself what I wanted in life. I usually plan out clearly what I feel called to do to help others. I have a husband of 40 years, 5 children and 17 grandchildren, so it has been rare that I asked myself this question throughout my life. I need to start living as that better version of myself. I know exactly what that looks like, and it doesn't look like who I am right now.

Also, I struggle with guilt often because there never seems to be enough me to go around, with so many people to love and support. I went through the pictures on my phone even though I did not want to. (So many!!) I saw how much I have given of my time and energy to everyone else. No one was left out! I loved well, and I'm proud of myself. If anyone feels left out, that's really their heart issue to deal with. I am just ONE person.

I also realized that the best and happiest times I enjoyed last year were times I was alone hiking, kayaking, walking in nature and experiencing silence and hearing and feeling the presence of God. I NEED this!!
"You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; In Your right hand there are pleasures forevermore."🙌 Psalm 16:11 These times were powerful and re-energizing! I will now schedule more of this and be intentional this year. God first, myself next, and then I'm my best self for others.💗

Anyhow, I just wanted to thank you so much for sharing this workbook free. I'm getting so much out of it!

I used my phone to listen to this routine✔️ - "Wake up for yourself. " I usually prefer 8 hours of sleep. Thought I was clever setting my alarm time back to include my so-called "me indulgence" (average snooze string) and still get up on time, even if it could mean some planks, or getting the bathroom first.

OMG! I realize I'm a constant procrastinator. Constantly avoiding phone calls I need to make, avoiding meetups with people, not responding to other people's invitations or requests where I could have made money or gain a friend or gain a connection in my career.

This is spot on! Goals without a plan are just good ideas. A plan is essential to success. My morning routine involves prayer, and time in Gods Word. I appreciate your enthusiasm. You described my wife and myself perfectly when you described the two type of people. My wife is the doer and I'm the thinker. This is a great message to get it in gear and make things happen. We need to not sit still.
