ОтветитьCan someone explain, why is a 4th note described as an 11th, even when it is sandwiched between a 3rd and a 5th? Why don’t we call those 3rd and 5ths 10ths and 12ths?

Ответить....please, ....the dorian bebop scale usually does not have the major 3rd as the extra note. One can do that, yes.
But normally the extra note is the sharp 4...... the two 6s , or you use the two 7s.
