What 2" endmill bit do you have/recommend?

Thanks for this tutorial. I followed it to the extreme and I also have the x-carve. Couple things is this is my VERY first project in fusion 360, so it took me a long time to get everything dialed following your steps. I appreciate the thorough-ness of everything. Few daunting parts about "you'll have to get all this dialed yourself" when I know nothing about the program is a little intimidating, but I just followed your lead and am about to go try and cut this thing. Also side note, I took a screen shot of fusion 360, threw it in illustrator and just did a trace draw and deleted the paths inside, and it did seem to go a little quicker (Even though I lost my scale tool bar and couldn't figure out how to bring it back up) but also was way more precise on the edges (or so it seems, will let you know after the cut). Thanks again!

When I import the "mesh" 3d file, I get a mesh body instead like your nice 3d model...why is this so?

Great how to! Two comments... do you have a bit setter? I'm wondering how you were able to zero your 2nd and 3rd bits after facing the whole piece of stock? And next, what prevented your 1/4" adaptive clearing pass from cutting the model out completely?

Regarding the contour outline, have you tried creating a base feature on the model and then converting mesh to brep? usually this is a good way to do it, but doesn't always work well for high complexity models.

at 10min in you go to geometry. When i get there i have a different panel than you got. Is that because you used face mill and i used the only tool i have (1,2mm flat head)?

Nice for beginners. I was trying to understand how to setup and add specific data from Lars videos. He explained everything very detailed but there was too many things. In your video it looks nicer and easier :)
I'm trying to switch from Vectric Aspire so everything I have to learn from the beginning. Thanks so much!

Excellent tutorial, Thanks. One question I have is about Fusion 360 itself. When calculating the tool paths it takes a while on my computer which is quite a powerful machine. I7, 16 GB ram, 4 GB dedicated video ram gaming rig running windows 10. I also noticed that Fusion 360 crashes and freezes a lot. Is that normal?

Great video, might i suggest talking a wee bit slower, and possibly mentioning your key shortcuts as you go. You have the issue where you speak quickly and just click around not really describing everything you are doing. Its the most obvious thing for you, but not for someone learning fusion 360.

Hello. This is a great video. I just purchased my first cnc/laser engraver 3018.
I have a question. I want to make a branding iron for myself. Is it like the same process in this video or easier?
Also watched your rubber stamp video but unfortunately there was no technical explanation which i need :) so decided to write under here..
Thanks in advance.

why cant people just show you how to do something slowly without all the extra talking..nobody knows how to show people without confusing them..you cant keep jumping around to whatifs and talk about things that dont have to do with the very point you are trying to explain..re do the video..slowly start doing it without all the talking,,just explain what you are doing..

Hello! Thank you for this great video. I was wondering, how do you determine what size endmills/bits you need? Will Fusion 360 give you an error if you picked the wrong size? Also, you mentioned there were resources for determining speeds/feed rates, can you please share those? Finally, I didn't see an answer to the comment below, but he asked how you were able to zero your 2nd and 3rd bits after facing the whole piece of stock?

Doesnt help that they redesigned the GUI and most video's use the old one..

Thank you for the information. Being very new to fusion setups, my next question may seem obvious. For the adaptive clearance cnc bit - one obviously needs to probe Z top height and X & Y outer corners (based on the stock corner chosen or box point); but for the parallel path the cnc bit is changed to a bullnose - and while one does need to probe again Z tool height again, do we also need to probe the outer corners X & Y again? .....It can get a little confusing when you consider that the silhouette cut for the adaptive clearance bit is set to "tool outside boundary", while the parallel path bullnose bit chosen is set to "tool centre on boundary". Does fusion just do the calculation for you when you go from one bit to the next "for the x & y box point", or does one have to probe X & Y again (in addition to Z) for each cnc bit change?

Gosh this seems like such a damn hassle to do this. Im trying to make a box with a mesh in it but my computer keeps taking forever to load it. Im skipping the facing and going straight to roughing but for some reason it does not cut down to the bottom height im giving it and is also leaving out some of the meshes I have selected to machine.
