The officiating was an absolute joke. Either all of the cars are unlapped or none of them are. The fact that the only cars that were unlapped were the 5 cars in between the 2 just shows how much of a brain dead idiot Michael Masi is. Since that night, I've called Hamilton an 8x WDC, and Max, as of right now, a 2x WDC.

This is as ridiculous as Merc whining about racing in the biggest motorsport on Earth. EVERYBODY wanted to see final lap battle with the two champion contenders except Merc/Hanilton who have never cared about fair racing. I`m not a Lewis fan, but i`m in his corner when it comes to the 2021 season. They sacrificed the sport and rules for entertainment. In 2012 the race and championship ended under safety car, end of story. The rules are the same. Yes, its not as exciting to finish under safety car, but it was the same situation...it is what it is.

I get that FIA wanted to finish on a climax, but surely they knew max was on fresh tyres and on softs, lewis had no chance. So it's a massive contradiction to having an entertaining end to the championship battle.

Aggressive driving or reckless? There’s a fine difference between the two. Aggressive driving isn’t just sending it down the inside, risking an accident. What you’re calling aggressive is mindless hit and hope driving. He has no idea if he’s going to finish the overtake or not. Alonso is the most ruthless overtaking machine I’ve known, I’ve never seen him just launch his car at his opponents. He analyses very quickly areas he can go faster than the people in front, he then clinically yet aggressively, by maintaining pressure on the driver ahead and almost pushing him along, snatches the position. If verstappen had kept it in his pants he would understand to just hold back and set up a switch back and get the drive out of the corner with DRS zone coming up as well. Please don’t market mindless reckless driving as “aggressive and goated” it isn’t. His first title was not a clean win at all. Rules are rules and not clay to be moulded into whatever a toxic steward wants them to be. If they wanted a final lap shoot out, fine but the same argument cannot be made for the lapped cars behind Lewis. Zero consistency and heavy manipulation. To think all of this shit could've been avoided by a simple red flag to remove Latifi's car... Everybody on fresh tires, standing start, few laps race to the end. Who knows, Masi might've even been able to keep his job...

You cant beg for rule consistency if you ignored rule inconsistency for years.

I honestly think that it was a rock and hard place scenario. If they red flagged, it would have seemed like manipulation as well. If they didn't let lapped cars pass (since toto was delaying that anyway how he could), it would have been manipulation. They were never going to end on yellow, EVER. No matter what, the call would have benefited somebody.

I think that in the grand scheme of things, this is a really minor thing. Like... MULTIPLE championships were cheated in, or ended with a driver purposefully crashing into their rival for the win. I think that this was realistically the most neutral way for this to have happened. They didn't red flag it and punish RB for pitting by letting both teams get a free pit. They didn't just leave max in the middle of cars with no way to fight, etc. It was an unfortunate event, but it ended how it ended. The entire season, even earlier in the race, luck was swinging the other way.

Over the course of the season, Max earned that title. Hamilton put up an amazing battle, and their engineers made an incredible car for the final races. But luck swinging one way long enough eventually swings the other way. That's racing. It happened for everyone at some point.

I don't think this was "Rigged" or "manipulated", I think it was just one of many calls that were... not amazing, but in the spotlight this time. That being said, the priority was the entertainment, and by god was there entertainment in 2021. Anyone complaining about 22/23 needs to remember the people that were calling for all the people administrating 21 to be sacked. A lot of the complainers then are complaining now for the opposite reason. We gotta find balance.

When safetycare comes, the race is shaking. Now that happen in abu dhabi. But 5 laps remaining it will be a safetycar finnish. Thats the normal protocall. Masi take a look if the race can restart or not in this very special situation. If do a safetycar finish, lewis get his 8title ofc. Or if possible, 1 more lap and the winner wil be champ.

Masi is under high pressure and did wrong about the 1st call, laped care are not aloud to overtake. He stil thinking for a last lap shout out and start a plan. He loose time, but see the car from latifi was off track and track was clear and SAFE. (Safety first) so he saw a oppertunety but his only choise is: laped cars between ham and ver aloud to overtake. Not fair for the other laped cars. So, ver have 1 lap to go and he did it. He pass ham because his team have better strategy and ham not defence. He want make more advanse for better outcomming the next strait. Now ver go away with the title. Toto angry because 5 laps protocall masi not did. Masi is the director and he can overuled the law. If the track safe then can race, masi did t in 4 laps. All laps aloud overtake was possible but masi was slow about what he doing. There are no rules in how many laps must do a safetycar proto call.
