Copic is still the standard art marker in Japan. Far from dead.

Also a note, if you are like me and aren't big on brush tips their oahu sets are even cheaper (around $0.50 each) and are chisel and fine point! I think it's cool that they have that option because I don't really see that in alcohol markers.

i love copics but i like the gradiant of ohuhu more, it feels more realistic saturate and smoother

The one thing Copic has that no other marker brand (to my knowledge) does is a color code system that (for the most part) actually follows color theory. That makes it so easy to pick out colors that go well together, even across different color families, just by the code.

I bought the monochrome Copic set and was so excited. Drew a sketch, inked, started using the pens and....three of them PUKED on my paper. I cried. I was so upset. I paid $50 for those and they ruined my drawing. Needless to say, they sit in a drawer somewhere and have never been used again. Might try the Ohuhu.

Ik i could have tried to get a refund for the Copics but for $50, I expected high quality pens. Pens that wouldn't explode on my paper or drip ink everywhere.

You just have to ignore the fact that Hululu is "Made in China" and that labor laws and good pay in production simply don't exist. Copic Marker are Made in Japanese....That just makes it expensive, regardless of the fact that you pay extra for the name alone^^

i think something overlooked in this video is the sustainability of making the markers themselves. Like are they fair trade where the workers receive a livable wage and a proper working environment? It is information that could be hard to find but I also think its important

GUYS trust me le plumes easily beat those two markers!! I also tried different markers and copic was my favourite but then i tried le plumes and their where a complete game changer!!!

I have had Ohuhu markers for a year now, and I use them a lot! These markers are excellent; I used to buy Copics but had to stop due to their price. Ohuhu allowed me to do what I love without taking two of my paychecks.

you can't do a video like this when you're sponsored by one of the brands. Anyone who has tried both themselves knows this is a blatant lie obviously favorable toward the one you have a personalized code for.

I loved copics. Comics were king! When they were less than 3 dollars a marker they were totally worth it. Now? Definitely not. Only reason to stick with em is if you have used them professionally and rely on their colors for a project.

the same happened to WACOM with HUION XP-PEN now happens to COPIC with OHUHU.

Ohuhu wins IMO on the split drawing. The reds look so much better, without oversaturating.

But the real kicker is when you said that the Ohuhu was "under $2.50" whereas you didn't say Copic was under "anything". Fuckin shill.
