How is Wi-Fi free if I mirror my phone to the tv thur the Wi-Fi does it use data I have satellite internet so I have a limit and rather not use it up playing cartoons for the kids if it doesn’t use data please let me know so I can start using it but my brain tells me that if I connect my phone to Wi-Fi and the tv it’s going to use my limited satellite data

Turn on hotspot on your cell, write down passcode, search for nearby devices on the TV, find your hotspot name, enter passcode, and boom, my tv has data through my android and I'm watching anything I want. Thanks for the hotspot info but I spent another hour elsewhere learning and figuring this out. I only have DATA and this process works.

The title of this is extremely misleading. My old Sony Bravia doesn't have wifi connection ability. Your tv- as you showed- needs to connect to WIFI.
