Being totally honest this review felt a bit like you didn’t really click with the camera (which is totally fine) but you still felt like you had to sing high praises of it since the whole thing was sponsored by the Leica corporation (which kinda sucks).

Love this video, I've never had a chance to try a 35mm Leica, got to use an M10 recently for a few minutes and it was so satisfying. A cheaper option to an M6 are the Canon rangefinders, my Canon 7 is a lot of fun to use but definitely not the reliable tank that the M6 is known to be

Honestly it is just another M6 chanting video with all usual stuff in it. Nothing already said with nearly the same words in a lot of other "M6" Videos. Sorry to be blunt and honest.

Nobody needs to master "Messsucher". Learn to see light and perspective and there will be no need for G.A.S.

For me I think your portrait work really sings on medium format, you know I’m a big fan of your photography regardless of the format, but I think commercially your medium format kit is where your best return on investment lays.

Of course I know you still shoot street for the joy of it so I can see having an M6 being great for that

With such lenses one can shift the depth of field forward, if the right border of it surpasses the infinity sign. Put the right border on the sign and depth of field automatically shifts forward. This was one of the victims of autofocus.

Try a Nikon S3/S4 - similar but cheaper and an easier shutter to service. No meter though! The Barnack Leicas are very good (particularly with modern Voigtlander lenses) or the older Canon L39 lenses - although more fiddly to load. Good review for a Leica newbie! It’s nice to see the magic of the M6 is undiminished.

I think you have done very well, Sophia. Your mini review is honest and from personal experience, and so it is valid. IMHO, the best way to review a Leica M is to make photographs with it and show it. I think that you might fall in love with an M3 with a classic Leitz 5cm lens on it. I enjoyed your review. Thank you.
