Great fix not quite as easy as it looks. Especially getting the swage on the pin not to pull trough. If all possible, go for it. Everything in a Camry just un bolts and just goes off and back on in sequence with a repeatable outcome, and IMHO it is easier to do the job correctly just because that's the kind of person you are.... Arrrrrh!

WORKED GREAT! THX MUCH! I had to work a but to get that plastic piece (steel cable link end) off, and reamed it 1/64 larger. I don't think mentioned in the vid - this reaming s/b 1/2" (on mine) deep, so it still functions as intended. Other than that, EXCELLENT fix. Only cost me the $4 for the cable nipple.

So you need to have spare length on the cable to use this method right? Otherwise one cable is now shorter than the other one and the switch may not reach it target tie in point anymore.
