Watching man of steel just makes me want to be a better person.

I dont even like superman, indifferent to batman etc...
While a few batman movies HIGHLY overrated...
Yet man of steel was rated as a garbage flop.. I see fantastic flick. Graphics, premise, his father was good casting.. seemingly authentic heart felt dynamic

I find it hard to believe that in 100k years they couldn't colonize enough planets to ensure their species' survival. He says that the space program was abandoned, but when that amount of time passes, why is it still a "program"? Should space travel be one of the most normal things for them?

One of the best movies I ever saw when it came out. No idea why people hated it when it came out. It’s the best superman movie made IMO

People say Clark never smiles in this movie. It's simply not true. He starts off as an unhappy character, yes, because he doesn't know where he fits in. But when he meets his "father" and learns his real name, that's when we see him smile for the first time. His next smile comes when he's flying, wearing clothes from his homeworld, being his true self at long last. He smiles a lot more in the movie after that point.

I find this version of Kryptonian technology to be fascinating. How do the murals work? Holograms? Ferrofluid held in a magnetic field? I’m immensely curious.

One thing I would've really liked to see: if, when Clark said, "That's my name?", Hologram Jor-El said, "That's the name we gave you; what name did the humans give you?", Clark then answered, "Clark", and then for the rest of the movie, Hologram Jor-El only referred to him as Clark.
