Yeah, pretty sad, but will someone try to explain how he cut BOTH his hands off after he cut the first one off! We are to assume he inflicted the damage onto himself, but how did he cut his right hand off after the left was gone? That was the only part that didnt make sense. Just curious...

This production was incredible. Amazing actors. Awesome music score! I'm a band geek and I always pay attention to the music. Congratulations!

Fantastic short scary and heartbreaking. The actor was amazing. So well done. As someone with OCD this hit really hard especially when he asked "God please fix my brain". Need to hug my little one and watch some comedy now tho.

The guy himself is Mr. Tutu. He's just in full denial, it's part of his mental illness.
Notice that the Monster has the same hair as the guy behind its mask.

So the idea of him locking the door is an excuse, denying how he should actually blame himself.
Also, losing his hands has two different meanings; he doesn't have the power to lock the door anymore so "it's out of his hands" but also he can't hurt anyone again.

Big question is, though: if him and Mr. Tutu are one and the same, how did he chop off his own hands..?

what a masterpiece of terror, how I lived without knowing the shorts on the ALTER channel. LOVED FAN FOREVER.

I see some of you saying his daughter was kidnapped. I must be missing the clues that point to that idea - point them out for me?

Other questions I have:
Where is his wife? One shot clearly shows the wedding band and the photo opposite the daughter's photo looks like it is a couple.

The bed he is lying in is his daughter's right? Is there blood on that doll he hugs?

Fantastic film. Love the camera work! But mostly, what a story. Beautiful and heartbreaking.

I enlarged the screen and even took a photo and enlarged that but it's too dark for me to see if he had stumps or if his arms were below the table, in which case he may still have had his hands. It looked like the guy was taking his blood pressure? And his mug and pipe were in front of him, so perhaps he still had his hands? Why else would those be there? It had to be a hallucination, no?!

DID his hands really get cut off or was that a hallucination? I couldn't tell when he was sitting at the table, it looked like his hands were below so we couldn't tell. But then again, my eyesight isn't what it used to be! I thought he still had his hands but had had a breakdown, thus the chair, that he seemed to be sort of strapped into, and the male nurse? Damned if I know, I'd best go back and enlarge everything!!

The closest I get to OCD like behavior is checking if the door is looked or if I have my keys. I can actually do that several times before I stop myself and focus on seeing that I actually completed an action. However, its not OCD, just me getting old.
