Kevin, several great tips. I'm super cautious when trying out a new theme. I bought one from a vendor that worked fine at launch, but they didn't support it. My hosting company upgraded the version of PHP or MySQL since I was on a shared hosting plan, and the theme just broke. It was so bad that I couldn't even log into the site to choose a different theme. After that I decided to only go with themes from very large companies.

Also, in terms of the chargeback, that's very good advice about the chargeback. I've done chargebacks infrequently so I didn't know that there would be a fee for the buyer.

From the merchant standpoint though, they are a beating. In addition to losing the money for the sale, you are charged a fee, AND you risk getting charged a higher rate for processing every transaction.

If there are enough chargebacks, the CC processing company will even cancel the merchant account.

I hope if you send them another email, you link to this video so they are less likely to ignore the next customers who asks for a refund.
