How to Clean Baseboards the Easy Way (Professional Tips)

Thanks! As a bachelor, I vacuum and clean, but I never clean my baseboards until the black crud on top of the baseboards got too nasty to ignore. I think I’ve got to get down on my knees with a toothbrush to scrub off the black crud. I’ll have to make it part of my infrequent bachelor cleaning routine.

I have a long-haired dog who sheds. I vacuum every day. I don't have a good baseboard cleaning system but I want to. How often should I maintenance clean baseboards in my situation? Everyday ain't gonna happen 😂

I’ve lived in my 1889 Victorian home since I was 29 ( Now I’m 69) The home has tall, dark wood baseboards, which I always cleaned … But now that I’m “crippled” with arthritis in my knees, I can’t crawl along the floor, like I did all those years, to clean baseboards…. Sadly, the baseboards in my rental were painted withe the worst paint that's not semigloss. I need Krud Kutter.

The easiest way to clean baseboards is a ocedar spin mop. Hands down so much easier on your back. Works great for cleaning walls too, just make sure your mop head is clean ❤

One of my clients, was very open when we did the walk through.
Biggest problem is trying to get the home up to par. The previous cleaners; not sure why; did not do the baseboards. The build up is crazy. Trying to get them done seems impossible. There is scuff marks, caked on dirt, stickey stuff, dust, and animal hair.
Hopefully I can get ALL of them cleaned like they need to be, so I can do them everytime I do the floors.

What if you have a bad back (can't bend) AND just a dusting won't do?? I need something like that blue brush, but with a handle as long as a broom...But I can't find anything......

What about the corners? All that stuff works well, but none of that stuff gets in the tight corners. They really like to hang on to that dust

Hi Angela! You’re awesome and I’ve learned a lot from you which helps me in my business, so, thank you! My mom always said, if the baseboards are dirty the whole house looks dirty! You’re absolutely right about frequency! Cleaning is a daily endeavor but made easier by keeping it clean which it’s always easier to maintain something rather than spend hours scrubbing etc. Baseboards can get filthy unless cleaned at least biweekly.

How do I clean wood baseboards

My baseboards were painted before they were put on and haven't had them painted with the semi gloss paint and so in the bathroom oh my gosh they were so dirty so I use a narrow brush with baking soda and water and a little peroxide and I scrubbed them with that brush and then I wiped them rinsed them off with a wash cloth and water and and it looks great

I am new to this channel and I am not a pro. I have a difficult affective disorder and I discovered to my surprise that cleaning is very therapeutic and meditative so now I really enjoy doing it. I am in no hurry so I have the luxury of spending time on the task which aids mindfulness.
I do not have OCD, germophopia and I am not really a perfectionist but baseboards have always been my pet peeve and obviously most people ignore them even while keeping the floors spotless.
I have four big dogs so a perfect showroom home is not really possible at all times, but I love learning from pros and this channel offers me interesting glimpses to the actual vocation.

All of these base board videos are always newer homes or new replaced base boards..
So they're not even very dirty lol..I want to see someone clean 30 plus year old base boards in an older home...can it even be done or is it a lost cause?.will they just have to be ripped out and replaced or repainted?

USA base boards are so easy, I am jealous. LOL. Uk has twin gas central heating pipes running above the baseboards. Its a pain on the back, literally.

I havent cleaned the base boards in my 100 unit 4 story apartment building im the sole maintenance of... ive done 2 floors with a stiff brislte brush followed by water with a tiny bit of ammonia and a microfiber clothe. They need hard wiping to clean tho as ppl dogs have messed on walls and ppl putting boogers on the walls and stuff i swear i wanna slap the nasty ppl

Help. I live in a senior apartment community. The baseboards are very dirty and I have tried everything magic erasers included and they will not come clean. What has happened is the maintenance staff has been painting the baseboards without cleaning them. The dirt has been painted on them. However it’s not a white paint that I can match.
