I had also tried Adapalene Gel 0.1% (Differin) for treatment of my KP for a duration of about 5 weeks; not long enough, in my opinion, to say whether it did or didn’t have any effect (the only thing I experienced in that short time were the side effects of redness & irritation). Being that I was 19 at the time and Differin was available by prescription only, I elected to stop using it for my KP as I didn’t want to apply prescription topical Vitamin A on such large areas of my body on a continual basis. Following a month-long “rest” thereafter (to let my irritated arm skin calm down from the Differin), I began using AmLactin lotion; and it’s what I’ve used ever since. I’m speaking about AmLactin because it is the primary product responsible for eradicating my rough & bumpy texture and, more importantly, maintaining my smooth skin all these years. I highly recommend lactic acid if you struggle at all with roughness and/or excessively dry or cracked skin anywhere on your body. This product effectively exfoliates, brightens & hydrates the skin; and evens tone, too. Lactic acid is gentler compared to glycolic acid; that’s also why I prefer it (less potential for irritation and therefore safer for sensitive/reactive skin).

The Gospel, which means the Good News is the news that God Almighty, the Creator came in the flesh as Jesus Christ to take away the sin of the world. The one God is a trinity of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. The Son came and laid down his own life to save ours. His sacrifice on the cross paid the price for our redemption with his own blood. On the third day he rose from dead and offers the gift of salvation and forgiveness to those that repent and trust in him.

John 1:1,14 KJV
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and THE WORD WAS GOD. [14] And THE WORD WAS MADE FLESH, and dwelt among us,

1 John 3:8 KJV
He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

Isaiah 9:6 KJV
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty GOD, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

John 1:10
He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and THE WORLD KNEW HIM NOT.

John 3:18 KJV
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Cerave has a “rough and bumpy” cream with salicylic acid and lactic acid. It’s very thick and emollient and I slather it on my arms after a lukewarm shower. It’s cheap, simple, and if you’re patient it will work on due time. I also do physical exfoliation once twice a week on the arms with the First Aid Beauty KP scrub. Very important to use a good SPF as well!

You’re absolutely right that time and patience are key. In life there aren’t always quick fixes.

Excellent info! Can’t thank you enough for sharing. Major tip for me was allowing enough time to see results. I usually only give a couple of weeks to see if a product will be effective. Question- I don’t shower every day. Only every other day. Do you think not showering daily will impact this routine? Could I just use the lotion daily?

The best thing I've ever found for KP by far has been salicylic acid. It can penetrate into pores better than lactic acid and dissolve dead skin cells. I used to use Amlactin and it did a mediocre job for me, even with daily consistent use.

I use Neutrogena grapefruit face scrub w/ Microclear (pink tube). Use a pea size/large pea size amount for each arm (not too much because it can be drying) and leave on for a minute standing away from the water. (Needs time to penetrate pores). Then wash off. My arms have never been so clear. I've done this for years. I use it daily which is ok so long as you don't use too much each night. Remember, it's OK as a daily face wash according to the tube so it's going to be no different for upper arms. The face on your skin is thinner and more delicate than on arms.

Hi! Can't find sunscreen that's affordable and not full of chemicals. I've even seen that sun "protection" with chemical filters WORSEN skin aging? And what about vit D? If you have sunscreen on your whole body, when will you ever get enough bit D (and other good things that the sun also provides)? I live close to the Arctic Circle and we don't even have sun for about 6 months and the rest of the year is not much either. Must I still cover myself in sunscreen all year round? I don't know if there's maybe UVA coming through the windows in the winter? I try to get some amount of sun in the summer bcs it's important to health, but I hardly get any. In the summer, I usually only use in the face but I haven't really found a sunscreen that I like yet and that don't cost an arm and a leg. Plus that isn't full of chemicals...🤪 Tips please....🌺

I have it on my arms, I'm super pale so needless to say it shows up quite noticeably. Granted it has gotten better the older I get, it's something people typically grow out of. I had a girl on my bed, and I had my arms up and she literally went "eww what is that" :/
