Have 2 strats from Fender Japan. Love the basswood body and the pickups....some people don't love the sound but It's perfect to me!
ОтветитьThat strat is burning! Bravo!
ОтветитьIve got a few left-handed 90s crafted in Japan Stratocasters. The necks are amazing! Especially on the O series. The bodies are only bass wood though and at least on the left handed ones the electronics are not great. But honestly they are worth it for a proper vintage neck
ОтветитьI also bought a Mexican Player plus telecaster In Jade Green from your company This is a great guitar as well
ОтветитьGreat that you like fender Japan I have a made in Japan, 57 E series made in 1987 Candy, apple, red, maple fretboard The neck is fantastic pick ups are great too highly recommend this Guitar keep on rocking my friend 😀
ОтветитьI got a MIJ '87 Strat and a 2023 traditional '60s Telecaster OW and competition stripes and I love both
ОтветитьAll of my Strats except two unicorn U.S, are vintage MIJ. They feel better than any Stratocaster I've played. I only buy and build MIJ. My personal favorite over All of them, is my ST-562 Candy Apple Red, System 1 Contemporary. Ill sell one of my unicorns before i sell this guitar, Never🤙
ОтветитьLove my 84/85 MIJ Strat🎵
ОтветитьIf only they used nitro finishes
ОтветитьMy Stratocaster was made in 1985 in Japan resembles a 1962.but thair was no headstock logo when I bought it.don’t know why 🤔
ОтветитьA couple of months got Traditional 60's Jaguar in Lake placid blue matching headstock, i love the quality. Not available anymore in stores...😮
ОтветитьThe problem with Japanese guitars is that they are heavy on the varnish which makes them seem cheap imo
ОтветитьGreat player!
ОтветитьQuestion if I may. I have a MIJ E series Strat with 6 numbers (appears to be 84-87 years) in a bluish green color, that I have owned since the early 90's. I would like to know more about it but cannot find what I would like to know just by a google search. Could you recomend someone to contact that might can tell me more about this guitar? I would like to know such things as if this is a copy of an older guitar model, if this particular color is rare and such things. Thank you.
ОтветитьMIJ lover here! Just scored a Tele Boxer ! Way below retail price!
Ответитьwhat body, neck and fingerboard are these guitars made of?
ОтветитьI have a Fender mustang 65 reissue from 2006 Olympic White and looks stunning
ОтветитьThe mij stratocaster are not better than the MIA and MIM Fenders period it's a myth started the some of you have fallen for its pathetic actually
ОтветитьI have a Fender Japan white Mustang that I got 20 years ago for £300. Love that guitar.
ОтветитьIs it a flame top or a photo of a flame top! Foto finish is Fender Japan speak.
Ответить80s fender reissues '57 mij strats are better than American made custom shop strats.
ОтветитьMad love for my 86 strat, kahler 2520 model. So nice and rare. Picked it up for a song and have never played a better strat.
ОтветитьI purchased a vintage 1986 Fender Strat neck for my custom Stratocaster build and my builder just informed me it was made in Japan!!!!
Ответитьhello i'm a guitar man since 60 years and i had buy a stratocaster reissue 1962 made in japan IN 1985? SERIAL C, it's a magnifical guitar and i like to play with her all day's , the americain serial arent no better .excuse my english but i'm a frenchy, you know.? CONGRATULATION
ОтветитьNice riffs man!
It was my Fender Mexico Reissue "Classic" Strat. The '62 model in Shell Pink. I got it out of the local newspaper $450-ish (no case). I remember the guitar was 5-6 years old and a gift to the seller by an ex-girlfriend and he HATED the color so I got a DEAL on it!
A very nice guitar! It was my first vintage reissue guitar. Unlike practically every old or vintage guitar I ever owned it needed no restoration or replacement of modern aftermarket "upgrade" parts so popular then; Schaller, Badass etc. or the craze for the brass hardware folks couldn't wait to add to their old even historic vintage guitars. Although the first Ernie Ball brass replacement Tele saddles were a true GAME CHANGER for Telecaster tone then!
Anyway one day I thought about a possible upgrade myself to the guts of that guitar. Out of curiosity I pulled off it's pickguard. I wasn't sure what I'd find. I expected something along the line of dime pots and other budget electronics in there. I was very pleasantly surprised to find vintage-type 'push-back' cloth wire and a good-quality (five- way) selector switch and of course full-size pots that most closely looked like the ones in my factory stock '66 Tele.
I have since acquired Fender Japan reissue guitars and IMO they are awesome but a collector buddy of mine once told me it's the Fender Mexico reissue instruments that in his words seem to have a "better vibe" than their MIJ counterparts. IMO that's slicing any perceived differences between them kinda thin. I've been more than happy with the attention to detail in reissue Fender guitars from both Mexico and Japan. I haven't ever played an American reissue guitar however, though I know people pay a premium for one of those.
Two friends of mine have Japan fenders, those are my favourite guitar's i ever played.late 80's and early 90's. A Stratocaster and a jazzmaster. Great built quality and gorgeous sound
ОтветитьI'll pass on mij I saw blues guitarists Christone Kingfish play a MIM Fender player stratocaster stock and immediately fell for the MIM players Stratocaster..now christone Kingfish plays his own signature Fenders...this whole Japanese thing is BS..
Ответить😍
ОтветитьHey just in case anyone’s looking for these in the UK, Coda Music in Stevenage Old Town High Street has loads. The thing is, you will get some people who are genuinely relaly daft and would spend so much more because of the made in USA tag - TRUST ME, I’m one of them and very subjectively, I do prefer the US made models but it is subjective and you should play a MIJ model if you can - they are AWSOME !! If I could have two (I could have but I already own 8 guitars so like, I need to slow down) I’d have got one too.
ОтветитьLove my fender ST62-Fr (black)
ОтветитьActually they are not half price of the American Fender. The cheaoest one is 1450 € which is the same price as American.
ОтветитьLove the Fender Japan guitars!
ОтветитьI recently came in possession of a 1989/90 Stratocaster MIJ.
The sound is amazing! Rosewood fret board beautiful body. Now rivals my Telecaster.
Screws and drill holes not lining up are usually found on Mexican and US made Fenders, on Japanese Fenders they all line up perfectly - Japanese made Fenders fetch higher prices in used market. Things to watch out for on US made Fenders are bowed neck and bridges don't line up to the bone nut.
ОтветитьNEED TO HEAR SOME KEITH RICHARDS, LIKKS. But it Does Ring Out WELL.!! How do they Resonate with being unplugged,..
ОтветитьI own a Japanese jazz bass , and it’s the nicest bass I own
ОтветитьGot a 70's MIJ Mustang from the 2018 run they in Candy Apple Red, I don't think I've wanted a guitar as much since when I first saw it! Personally I'd love another 5 but yup, they're pretty rare!
ОтветитьIt's nice that Fender Japan doesn't produce regulary.
It makes it special and can hold the quality at a high level because these instruments aren't mass produced.
And for Europeans Made in America means nothing.
A European made instrument is far superior an American made instrument due to the lack of good craftmanship, quality control and overall discipline with American made stuff.
Look at their cars.
Nice to look at from outside but when you look closer the quality and materials are awful.
I used to drive a 2020 Ford Explorer Hybrid.
Worst car ever.
It spend more time in the workshop than i was driving it.
American made means bad quality for me.
Japanese people are OCD when it comes to quality.
They check everything hundred times.
What color Tele is that? Vintage white?
ОтветитьI got a MIJ from 95 and one from 2018. 60s reissue and 50s "traditional" (they cant say reissue anymore, lol) both phenomenal guitars and better than American made ones that cost twice as much.
ОтветитьYou seem to have left out the era from 2000 to around 2020. I have several CIJ (2001 - 2008) models that are incredible instruments. I know the history concerning those years is sketchy, because when I got my 2002 Aerodyne Strat a year ago, I could not find any reliable information on it.
ОтветитьI got a 60's Strat MIJ as my first guitar and currently learning with it, love it! :)
ОтветитьI have a fender mij Aerodyne hss and it’s amazing. The tones are punchy yet crisp. I would recommend it to even the hardcore Fender fmic fans.
ОтветитьI owned a '72 Reissue Strat (1996). Bought new at a local music store here in the states before Fender stop importing/prohibit sale all MIJ guitars shortly after. Though it is nothing like my American Vintage 70s Strat but nevertheless it is a very nice sounding guitar after I replaced the pickups with DiMarzios.
ОтветитьI live in Argentina. Are they available in here?
ОтветитьYou... doing that thing you do...
ОтветитьI own and have owned 6 Fender Japan guitars over the last 20 years……they have all been amazing and easily as good as the USA Fenders…..and I own a Vintage series USA Strat……these are easily better than Mexican models.
ОтветитьI have a 86 MIJ Strat. Floyd Rose bridge. Fine quality made guitar but it doesn't sound like a Fender. Sound has no character. My Amp is a Marshall with twin Celestion speakers. 80 watts. I play 'clean' and hate over-gain and all the rubbish overdrive nonsense. Maybe I should change the pick ups ?
ОтветитьI wanted to like this video, but the like count is at 420.
Anyways, nice video. Thanks
