Samsung QN90C 2023 QLED Complete Best Settings Guide And Tips | SDR | HDR | Gaming

Hey! I have a 2 friends with the 43 and 50 inch model (va panel) and both in gaming mode and filmmaker mode it clips at 1100 nits, is that correct?

warm 2 the sky is YELLOW!!! stop with warm 2 , the colours are different: SKY BLU !

Are these setting available anywhere in written form. I’m about to buy this TV and would love to have a checklist to work off of.

There is some configuration so that the TV has the perfect image for games ? I just bought the Qn90 43 and I'm using it as a monitor. if you can help, several people have 43, but most videos, websites have settings, 55 above where the panel is not VA. Thanks

Firstly is the led grid matrix pattern I'm seeing in content normal for mini led tech & I'm more sensitive to it after having my A80j OLED as my main TV for so long. Secondly which local dimming setting gives the deepest blacks even if it's not the most accurate. Thanks

I just noticed a weird issue ive been having on pc, and i wonder if anyone has noticed this. When gaming, im having extreme black smearing EXCEPT if i put my games in 1440p resolution. Im really scratching my head on this one.

Im using hdmi 2.0. tv detects pc mode, and game mode. I put 4k resolution on the pc, etc. ive been searching everywhere for an answer. I have no choice to play everything at 1440p because of this...

Edit: I finally found out whats going on. the tv forces its own fps lock depending on the resolution. And because my graphic card has hdmi 2.0 output, i cant have the max of 120 fps. so when putting the tv at 4k, it locks me at 60fps for all resolution execpt 1440p, at 120. to fix this, i have to put my desktop at 1080p, 120 fps and use DSR instead

Thank you for the tips! Unfortunately the PC mode on this model in broken, it doesn't handle RGB Full output correctly. It also messes up the contrast in the skintone region in HDR so it's useless for movies. I have to switch to other modes for movies and for games. It's basically useless as a PC monitor.

Im confused about local dimming. Is he saying low is better because the local dimming is so bad, its better to have as little as possible of it. Or is low actually, the highest quality?

I'm not really sure why so many people who do these settings guides tell you to setup the tv so that you get the msot accurate picture.

I think I'd rather see the image rather than the screen be so dull and dark. Especially for games, raise the contrast, colour and use the other settings.

Apparently if you're a tech dinosaur who just bought this TV because your 7 year old Samsung was "dying", there are no YT videos for Dummies, who happened to have ordered this model. My eyes glazed over watching this. I'm sure it was very informative for other people.

Please. On what basis a you doing these setting. Did you use a measurement from a calibration tools as a reference or it is just from your experience and observation testing?

I cannot get filmaker mode in my picture options, it’s only giving me intelligent mode with 2 options, optimised or eye comfort?

These settings do not apply to 43" and 50" models... I tried it here and the results were different, please do an update of this video focusing on the VA panel versions

Having difficulty understanding sdr signal modes. What is that? Netflix, Prime or all the streaming sevices? There are shows on these services that offer HDR as well I think. So I wanna config my tv for all SDR signals without knowing what that is doesnt help me lol I also wanna calibrate it for Bell Fibe Tv which is like fiber optic internet TV.

anyine know the diference between the 2023 QN90C and QN93C tvs 43"

is it better to set game mode off in order to get brighter images and better local dimming?

I tried both dark room and light room hdr settings but absolutely nothing changed, the images are almost identical. In addition they come out very dark, very warm tones and sometimes the images look yellowed compared to the natural colors. Also, when watching sports programs the colors come out faded and dark. Setting in smart or standard mode there is plenty of brightness and sharpness is quite relative. How can I solve this?

Can someone provide settings just for basic picture? I don't care about HDR as I will ensure its off.

Brother i just bought this tv 55 inch for gaming on ps5. I was playing infamous second son on this sometimes some its too bright like when game shows sunlight. And it put strain on my eyes And in some areas of the game its too dark. What are best picture settings in game mode. Please help brother

Bro, only 15 for colour seriously? 15 is nearly black and white, it’s so washed out on Call of Duty Warzone 2…. 35 - 40 is what I have to run my colour on to actually see colour (75” QN90C)

Hello Classy, will these settings work for a QN95C or will you be doing settings for that sometime? If so what would you say the timeframe is. I can get the tv on a good deal, but so far there's no settings videos for it which is making me hold out a bit.
