sfxr is a great idea, but it has some hiccups. The effects it generates with randomizer and all are really cool and useful, but you have to clean up the generated sound effects from clicks in post. I have little trust for a sfxr godot addon to not have that, and I think sounds generated live can have some performance problems. But I guess we have to test it out to see anyway.

Like i want to use flying camera addon every time I created a project and I created and dump a lot of project so it's kind of painful...
We need a global addon system...

ОтветитьMan, i was so dissapointed when i saw my plugins were only on 49 and 55 place (out of 60)...
I guess people just didn't get the point of LOVE criteria and just 1stared me because my plugins were useless, only fun. I recommend making multiple criterias in future jams.
Round two for sure. You could maybe create a second category for old entries which would give them an opportunity to show off any updates without having an "advantage" over new entries. With a few touch ups PixelEver(thank you solocodenet), the basic sprite editor, would also be a good candidate for core integration.

Would have the sole intention of creating PRs for prior addon jam entries (via same authors or not) to Godot itself. Ones like "Improved resource picker", "MaxSizeContainer", and selfishly my own "Curve Edit" are good examples of what should just be natively built in!
Hell yeah I'd love to see another one, but maybe reach out to other creators who do things like game jams, having different creators cycling through talking about the different entry places and showing an edited down version of them being used would be nice but more so I'd like it cause then it would reach more people, more people viewing it means more submissions and more submissions from different creators spheres of influence means more different takes on what plugins are needed

ОтветитьI was working on something else and chose not to attend, but this was by far one of the coolest jams I've seen!
I favorited quite a few add-ons, looking forward to using some of them such as LoSpec in my current project shortly.

ОтветитьAs the dev of the bullethell addon, I just wanna say that it's still a pre-alpha and you should wait for the stable release to use it for a serious project. :D (coming as soon as my game's first demo is out)
