Copy and Paste using Ctrl C and V

What fingers to use to press Ctrl+C?
I am trying to force myself to use my left pinky for the Ctrl and left forefinger for the C (and S, X, V and F).
But my pinky can become sore after a while.

Sometimes for Ctrl+S I may use my left thumb for the Ctrl and left forefinger for S.
Maybe there is a better way to press Ctrl+C?

If I am lazy I may use my left forefinger for Ctrl and my right forefinger for the rest, but that is definitely not efficient.

My keyboard has another Ctrl button on the rigt side. Maybe I should use my right hand for the Ctrl and left hand for the other buttons.
