Odin exists.
Ответитьso these are the exact same joysticks as the switch
ОтветитьI've been binging Odin 2 content and I'm a long term subscriber to Taki, so the algorithm recommended me this video on the Odin 1. I must've watched this review when it was new; but, I'd forgotten just how good this original model Odin was. I'm still rocking an SD845 phone as my main device for everything but phone calls, so I'm well aware that cooling can be an issue. I tried looking up to see where I can buy a new Odin 1, because I was expecting it to be on a deep discount and an 845 with drastically improved thermals is more than good enough for my purposes. Surprisingly enough, no discounts. Amazon has the Odin 1 Pro for $299 with free shipping, no Base or Lite models. You have to pay for shipping with the $299 Odin 2 from Indiegogo, so the Odin 2 Base ends up being about $40 more. Both have the same storage capacity; but the 2 Base has a Gen2 under the hood, even more RAM, and an even bigger battery. It's probably well worth the extra $40 or so. If I want a cheap Odin 1, I'll have to buy used. I've bought used electronics before; but, people on eBay want as much for a used Odin 1 as I was wanting to pay for a new one! LoL. Oh well.
ОтветитьHow do you get games on it?
Ответитьhow many handheld you got from manufacturer for free
ОтветитьHow big is the Screen when playing MAME? Do you have any videos when playing MAME?
ОтветитьLooking for some advice. This looks almost perfect for me. I'm looking for a portable dedicated retro handheld that plays up to GameCube, ps2 and 3ds. Would you recommend this or wait for something else like the retroid pocket 4
ОтветитьCan you use GameCube and Ds and 3d and gba gbc gb games on this because this would be nice then having a pc for it
Ответитьwhat is the name of legend of zelda game that is there at the beginning of the video?
Ответитьi wonder if there is a pcb making service that you could make your own snapdragon device
ОтветитьCan it do wii and ps2?
ОтветитьTaki-san, after watching several of yours (and ETA’s) I decided to return my 512GB Steam Deck and instead saved almost $300 by purchasing the Ayn Odin. It looks to be so much more my type of handheld than the Steam Drek.
ОтветитьThe screen not bazeless
Ответитьi been debating about getting odin pro but i know nothing of emulation or finding a decent android game i would use for it. That or wait till next year to see what handhelds that be coming out.
ОтветитьI prefer IPS. Truer colors and no burn in.
ОтветитьWhat app do you use to check cpu usage and temperature while playing?
Ответитьhow to buy this thing i cant find any retail lol
ОтветитьI really want a steam to emulate PS2 games. While it’ll run prolly every game im not a computer genius so idk how I’d feel about tinkering with settings. This seems more my speed. But not sure if it’ll run ALL ps2 games smoothly. That price point is very intriguing
ОтветитьWhere can I buy this? The only site I can find it on is sketchy indiegogo
ОтветитьOdin exiss
ОтветитьUnfortunately the price has now bottomed out at 227$ which now makes this device a deal breaker for me due to dollar value ratio. Looks like we got another 3-5 more years to go for technology to be affordable and great in this field.
ОтветитьComment avez-vous fait pour avoir toutes les informations sur la batterie 13minutes ? ( Faut-il télécharger une application )
Merci
Very happy with mine, set it up with LaunchBox and all my emulators under Android, excellent battery life and performance for every system up to and including PlayStation 1. Even some less demanding PS2 titles run well. Excellent value for money, the only downside is how difficult it is to get one, I had to wait over a year for mine to arrive. Did not try running Windows on it as I see no need, I have a Steam Deck for playing Windows games on the go.
ОтветитьHow many cracks are in your shell?
ОтветитьAlways go screen side in when you pocket devices. Screen can take a hit from a meaty leg but your chancing with screen out.
Ответитьwhere can i buy it in usa?
ОтветитьCan it emulate GBA games too?
ОтветитьWish I could afford it.
ОтветитьNew to the emulator world I've been using thr fold 3 with sd 888, how does the odin perform compared to the sd 888, I know the 8 gen 1 is just too hot
ОтветитьCan I ask how you got tomb raider and half-life to run on odin? I don't think it can run linux, and the windows on ARM still has a lot of compatibility issues?
Ответитьodin is a stupid name for a console
ОтветитьSteam deck KILLERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Ответитьthe design looks super dated i think the next model might look better
ОтветитьHow do we get games on the device? Apologies, I'm new to the emulation scene.
Ответитьoh finally I find a video that shows someone pocketing this thing. I've been looking for pics or videos of it in a pocket for months
ОтветитьThe comparison to phones with higher tier chipsets is golden! It clearly shows what a difference it makes with a meaningful cooling system. SD870 has the least issues due to throttling but phones with it still cost a lot, I'd have to buy a decent controller (Currently I only consider Backbone One for Android because it has wired connection and 3.5mm headphone jack) which is available late 2022 and adds significant costs. On the flipside I can update my phone in the future and pair it with Backbone and smartphones have better oled screens in general. Edit: A big thank you!!
ОтветитьI hv a question tho
Will Ayn loki that i po get the same gamepad?
This device looks insane! 🔥
After watching this video, I've watched a few dozens of reviews just to validate and it seems like everybody enjoys it a lot. I'm torn between investing a little bit more to get a Steam Deck, or settle down for this one.
I mainly want to play my retro games up to the PS2/GC era and I don't own many Steam games. Not sure if the Steam Deck is worth it for me...
I don't really know much of anything about Emulation and how to download rooms and configure everything. I have had some success with running SNES, NES and GBA games on my Samsung phone but I've always been a Console gamer. I am amazed with these new PC handhelds like this and the Valve Steam Deck. I know there are cheaper handhelds that run older systems like the Anbernic Handhelds (which I also like) but I want something more premium that can alow me to play more current games as well as stuff like Dreamcast and PSP. Is this relatively easy to figure out for a console gamer who has very little to none PC and Emulation gaming experience? Or would a Steam deck be the best since it's configured for Steam. I though this might be somewhat simple as well since it's an Android system.
ОтветитьAwesome review! Thanks!
ОтветитьWhere can i buy one of these?
ОтветитьJeez, looks great but now the price is almost double what it was just 4 months ago. It's currently $351 for the Odin Base. Unfortunately too much for me.
ОтветитьShould I get an Odin Pro or wait for the Loki?
ОтветитьI have a fan cooler i used it on my Android phone it fix the thermal throttling (Thermal throttling will decrease your fps) but using a fan cooler (xiaomi fan cooler) it will fix the thermal throttling and also has higher fps than without fan cooler.
ОтветитьThe new AYN LOKI and LOKI PRO are going to be insane. 6600u on the Loki and 6800u on the Loki Pro. We are talking LAPTOP level performance in a handheld. That's insane. I am looking at the 256gb Loki since its got 16gb ram (128gb only has 8gb ram for some reason). And its only $579.... that's insane. A 15" laptop with the 6600u cost $900 and if you want a slim line or 13" laptop with 6600u, you are gonna spend over $1300.... that's insane. $579 is a killer price. Then for $60 bucks I am gonna get a USB HUB that lets me power the device, and give me USB for mouse/keyboard. So then if I want, I can use my Odin Loki as a laptop! I mean it already has windows 11.... So yeah, epic win.
On the note for OLED, the idea that they can't find a quality OLED screen is bullshit. There are MULTIPLE cell phone AMOLED screens that could be used. Hell, my Sony Xperia 1 Mark 2 phone has a "4k" OLED screen and honestly running 1080p content on it doesn't look bad at all. Its not like running 1080p fullscreen on a 27" 4k gaming monitor.... so this idea that they couldn't do OLED is bullshit. I think its a cost thing. IPS is hella cheap compared to OLED screens.
How i can get this one from philippines?
ОтветитьI got my Odin Pro a month ago, and I've been playing Pokemon games on it since then.
I want to get into N64 and Wii gaming with this device.
Are the games free? This seems so incredible 😍
ОтветитьAmazing product but I don't want to wait 3 months to get one.
