We all make mistakes, it’s all about how we can be men and admit them and not be too embarrassed or ashamed or full of pride. I swear we would get along so well and could really build some stuff! Keep up the good content. Life long follower you have made me my friend!

You're dealing with problems any top racer deals with. If your choking on problems like this at the dune u can relate to the stress too racers have to deal with. You're just over doing it brother, just relax and try not to put so much on your shoulders, try to think of it like it's just a weekend of fun on the trails

On the other hand quad guys are afraid of heights that's why they ride quads instead of bikes. But take it with a grain of salt just have fun it doesn't matter how you do it as long as you're having fun

all i can think is how i could do all that work JUST to get worked over by a cobbled together old raptor or blaster/banshee frame with a 600cc or 1000cc sportbike engine and a ebay swingarm lol...At least you had a class of other 250r guys you were racing

I think if you do some shock adjustments that will help you. For drag racing you need to take some softness out.

the best way always, is to port the cylinder and then send it to plating, porting a plated cylinder isnt a good idea. you always round off the edges of the ports and by doing so you remove the plating all up to the cylinder wall, if you port and then send to plating you plate the rounded edges and all is good. never port an already plated cylinder, get a sleved cylinder in this case, that is the way to go if you dont want the mess! sorry to see this though, bummer.

Mass props for showing all the mistakes. There was a lot don’t get me wrong but takes balls to show all the mistakes. Quick note, when you do a stroker crank alot of the times it requires a specific piston due to the longer rod

No stone unturned, no shortcuts taken, best of the best parts used make these dream bikes of the internet.hey, that should be a series Sabo, 'DREAM BIKES OF THE INTERNET!' that they are, the tri z my favorite.

I can say even with the piston chopped it will probably run ok. I had a chunk the whole bottom of a piston on a 1992 blaster broke off during riding and I just kept riding it like that and after 1 year quad still ran ok. I eventually took motor apart and found the peace of piston down in the crank just bouncing around for a year.

Very impressed that you admitted and showed your mistakes as well as the shortcuts you were willing to take to get the bike ready. Obviously we know you wouldn’t normally do things like shave the nikasil, weld the piston, etc. But I think it’s cool that you owned it and didn’t hide it. That’s why you’re one of the best!
