So captain america's design is bad because red and blue aren't opposites? Are we supposed to never use combinations like red + blue, orange + green?
ОтветитьThank you so much for this knowledge, exactly what I needed. You're great
ОтветитьIt's cool that you taught value first
ОтветитьHi, I don't know if you will read this, but I want you to know this. I was right about to click out because I do find color theory horribly daunting, and I thought you were going to do what everyone else does.
But then you explained EXACTLY the problem with learning and teaching color theory. I couldn't have put it in better words. Thank you for your video
I took a color theory class, somehow got an a, and still have no idea what I’m doing and struggle with making appealing palettes
ОтветитьIt's so hard to choose where to put colors in a desiggnnn
ОтветитьI’m tryna design a character who’s outfit, hair and eyes are primarily dark colours, but I have been warned against ever using pure black in my art. As a result of this my character looks very greyed out/pale and boring. Can anyone help me with this?
ОтветитьHow would you go about this if you only have access to a small, limited selection of copies and colour pencils? I’ve been trying to select the colour palette for my character but none of the combinations I’ve tried fit quite right. Any advice?
ОтветитьI've created a character she a martian she yellow, my color pallet : yellow, grey, and orange .
ОтветитьPlease someone tell me the name of the song at the end. I keep hearing it in people's videos and no one credits it in the description. 😫
ОтветитьI hate when all these deviantart cringe type channels make fun of people for using saturated colors or shading intensely. The things in themselves aren't actually bad- its the way you use them.
ОтветитьThis was so helpful! Thank you! I’m so happy I found your channel!
ОтветитьI really like how you draw Mario characters
Ответитьcan you make a tutorial about creating a duo buddy platformer charaters
ОтветитьI guess you can say that learning color theory is VALUABLE ;)
ОтветитьAll that scrolling was worth it
ОтветитьFunny how my OC is actually mainly green and red, but I too use too much of fully satured colors. Thanks for the tips!!
💚💚💚❤️
i don’t use this exact process but i had already learned this another useful tip i learned is because every color still looks different in grayscale you can use that to make certain colors pop out more or less or make cool lighting affects i don’t think i’m explaining this right
ОтветитьWhat is the song in the background?
ОтветитьCool! You have a Voltron figure
Ответитьyou are a very very very boring man
Ответить"think of a martini glas" mhm ok ok ok you got me there
ОтветитьFor the algorithm.
ОтветитьWhat did you use to screen record out of curiosity?
ОтветитьColours don't make sense to me. I can never know what looks good together until the whole thing is finished with shading and lighting. I recognise that something looks good, but my brain just can't grasp why.
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьRyan Reynolds, is that you?
ОтветитьI'm remember when I chose bad colors for the characters. Sometimes is hard to chose what color will be dominate. I'm thought that character with yellow color (mostly clothes) doesn't look good. But I saw Fran Bow with yellow dress and I can't imagine her without it.
ОтветитьWhat’s this? An educational art video that actually helps? *heck yeah*
ОтветитьWhat is the name of the colour theroy website?
ОтветитьI don’t write novels or make comics or anything, I just really like designing characters for the fun of it. I want to learn how to make more appealing characters. I think this’ll help a lot!
ОтветитьAre those your drawings in the background? They look cool!
ОтветитьI like how some of your layer ‘slides’ are named
ОтветитьDang this is really helpful especially that funnel technique
ОтветитьI love your videos! They are so helpful.
ОтветитьMy character main colors:
Dark Red, dark green, black
Red, black
Red, black, orange
Red, black
Blue, yellow
VARIETY!

ОтветитьHere's a detailed history of the sandwich.
So there was an English king or duke or something, I forget who he was. Probably Henry something or whatever. I don't care about the names, and I refuse to look it up. Anyways, this guy was a mad gambler and he was in the middle of a game (probably poker or something) and it was lunch time. But the king refused to leave his game, so he ordered his chef to put a slice of meat between two pieces of bread so it could be eaten with the hands and without a plate, for his convenience during his game. Anyways, that happened, and it caught on. This was in Sandwich, England, which is where we got the name sandwich. The end. That was a poor retelling of the history of the sandwich.
'The hue...which is like the flavor of the color'
ОтветитьThanks
ОтветитьThank you for sharing your wisdom, and for doing so in a comprehensive way. Even a join like me can follow along without too much stumbling.
ОтветитьAs someone with a bunch of inkling & Octoling characters (Yes I saw that Squid amiibo you got)
I needed this, thanks!
I'm a whore for color. My way of using color is to think of the personality, style, species, and even the powers of a character. I have an easy time using colors once I have a set pallete.
ОтветитьActually, completely on accident, when making a character, I'll wind up using colors that go in a certain category with a few splashes to liven it up. Such as for one of my characters, they have a white dress, light skin, light blue hair and red eyes. I just realized that most of my characters avert expectation from an external standpoint. How did I only just realize that? These videos really help me realize what I actually do when creating a character..
ОтветитьMy character is an albino. Would this video be helpful even if she's lacks color?
