I live in a country with a hot dry climate, I see nothing in that city or country that would make me want to visit. If I wish to visit a city with canals I would go to Venice, the climate and culture of Saudi Arabia doesn't hold any appeal for me, plus the fact 50% of the worlds population, women, aren't considered "adults" but need permission from a male family member to do the most basic things like seeing a doctor among other things. Or drive a car. Or attend Sports Events. Saudi women can't marry or divorce, without permission from their male guardians. Meaning adult Saudi women must have a male guardian, as if they were children. So no, I have absolutely no desire to visit, ever. This and all those other mega-projects are just a huge waste of money.

If they built it somewhere with a climate suitable for human habitation, like the english channel, it'd be a great idea.
