interviewing sucks. The video covers the reason why -- there are several different styles of interview, which all test different skills. In NYC area,
Tech Companies -> difficult algos + ds interviews that in order to ace you have to spend many, many hours outside of work preparing for. The questions asked are very different than the types of work you'll do on a daily basis on the job.
Non Tech Firms -> will have a "softer" interview. Will ask about your previous projects, any challenges, working with a team, what technologies you worked with. They will also throw in some technical questions, which are questions better suited for an internet search engine, than a person.
