ОтветитьDon't have the energy to watch the whole video, but have to say. I overthink dozens or even hundreds of times a day, and it really makes everything difficult. Message from a very dear friend, a look from a stranger in the store, it could be anything. Just the smallest little thing makes me overthink and draw up conclusions that haunt me for the rest of the day and even keeps me awake at night. Weeks and months later a small thing makes me remember overthinking something and it all starts again😅

Ответитьit's been 2 moths i've been suffering about a school project, my mom fucked me up and ruin my plans of this project. and even i can't control everything anymore, i'll just cry about it and thinking how the other students who work on this project too would suspicious and laughing about it. My mom said im being dramatic asf, well she doesn't even trying to calm me down. Ok im getting crazy, im a failed perfectionist person right now
ОтветитьMy overthinking has gotten so bad that I can’t sit still mentally, everything that has a question needs an answer immediately, my mood changes throughout the day. I get scared of time going by which causes me simultaneously to be scared of resting & being nonproductive. It’s like I’m speed running and there’s no enjoying the moment anymore. I feel like I ruin having company bcuz I nag on things they might not have an answer to yet like how they feel etc.

ОтветитьThe best way to stop overthinking is to ask questions and stop thinking of specific lines you can say when talking to people. Also stop expecting everything to have a good outcome.

ОтветитьI have too many random thoughts, I cant get any out of my head no matter what. im watching this video now, although past bed time, because if I dont ill think about other things and question more. 20 minutes of thinking is better than 8 hours of sleepless thoughts
ОтветитьThank you for this video and the tips! I will certainly be trying them out. I'm the perfectionist and over thinker to the point of being counter productive and already have anxiety. It's just a vicious circle. I know it's been a year since this was posted, but I do hope it has helped some of those who commented!

Like rn all my energy is going to overthinking and causing side effects. ОтветитьI'll try, It's a loop of never-ending negative thoughts and emotions that messes me up like overthinking of the past and then implementing those in my present and future and suddenly overthink that this would happen in my future someday but suddenly didn't. It's a baseless assumption and it's getting annoying to the point that I start hating myself and in the end overthink and get anxious and get depressed.

Sometimes overthinking allows me to prepare for the top most worst case scenarios.
But overthinking also rob me of my joy.
Now I'm constantly overthinking wheather I should get rid of overthinking

ОтветитьI don't feel depressed or anxious. I just re think actions that I did or i imagine myself doing weird things Infront of people and makes me feel weird, I think all of that when I'm standing or sitting. This only happens when I'm in public places like church

ОтветитьNice video. To reduce overthinking be careful what you feed your mind. Feed trash and trash will come out. Avoid comparing yourself with others, avoid storing bottled up emotions, reduce watching negative social media—fake news channels and avoid constipation as it affects the mind. Your breath is closely related to the brain [mind] and gives relief from stress, anxiety and overthinking. For a relaxed mind observe the sensations of your incoming--outgoing breath at the entrance of the nostrils and within the nostrils for 5-10-15 minutes or more. You can sit straight on a chair, eyes closed but avoid deep breathing. If distracted bring focus back on the breath. Never meditate with expectations but with self-awareness. Make it a lifetime habit to observe your breath before sleep, when travelling, when reading, at the workplace, in the park etc, Best wishes--Counsellor.
