Mine is running stable on 4.025 GHz, more isn’t possible. Has an EK Waterblocks Aio on it, 65-67 degrees Celsius under load.

Mine has no vcore setting.

Did you ever figure out if the app keeps the gaming mode settings after apply and restart?? Every time I do it it goes bk to current. I want to make sure it worked, how can I find that out??

I only have dynamic vcore (dvd)

My bios is not booting after oc. It is just not allowing OC on cpu beyond 3.6 ghz which is the default clock. I have Gigabyte X470 Ultra

can you do a video on overclocking trident Z ram? i noticed your ram speed was 2133 does it make a difference at 2666 for streaming?

Pushing 4.0 @ 60C & 1.35V after an hour of stress from CPU-Z. That's not accounting the Vega 64 running full blast though. When should I start being concerned about core temperatures? Thinking about air cooling my Vega 64 as it's currently acting as an indoor heater.

I have a 1800x too. can I keep it at 4.0ghz permanently? Im on a water cooling by the way

I have a Gigabyte X370 gaming K5 mobo amd I do not see the option to change core voltage in there all I see is the ones that are Dynamic not the one that you have even in the latest bios.

So everyone knows, EK Water Blocks has a AM4 bracket for the EK-XLC Predator 1.1 kits.

The G-Skill FlareX ram is the only Ryzen supported ram.

Can you do another build with the Crosshair VI Hero using a Ryzen R7 1700, aEK Water Blocks EK-XLC Predator 240 1.1 and G-Skill FlareX DDR4 3200 ram (32GBs.)? Thanks, they're what I'm planning on getting and curious to see overclocking results on it.

What about the 20° degree offset? AMD said the temps will show 20° degrees more than they actually are for the 1700X and 1800X.....

i have a question about your preference on 6900k vs 1800x. 4 months ago a friend of mine offered to sell his new in sealed box for $425 because he was in a bind and it was hard for me to refuse, but i wanted to wait on ryzen. i have some regrets atm. could you make me feel better and explain to me benefits of ryzen over the 6900k?

1800x is well worth the money even if it can be only maxed @4.15ghz I did a build on my channel using this same chip and I love mine its a beast

It may help to use a mix of fsb and multiplier as well as LLC if that board supports it. Even if you have to lower the ram multiplier. Or even just to use faster memory since it seems ryzen loves faster ram. You may also be running into a stability issue with this particular board. I'm curious to see if you got similar results on the crosshair vi.

I believe the 5.2GH world record was done with liquid nitrogen cooling... Definitely not commercial coolers. :P

can you show what the max you can overclock with only 4 core.

Does overclocking set your CPUs running at your specified frequency all the time or do they still throttle down when idle? I'd really like it if it means I'm just setting my new max speeds and they'd still throttle down when idle.

I guess I got a pretty good 1700x, runs 4Ghz at just an voltage offset of + .0325

Can someone test Ryzen with disabled 2 and 4 cores, i really wanna know a performance of 4 and 6 cores Ryzen CPUs.

You should use the Dynamic VCore on the Gigabyte - It means don't go over X more than stock voltage that way your idles and mid usage runs cool and low voltage and will only hit 1.45 under stress tests on all cores. I've used this for years on my Intel CPU's with NO issues eg. 8=i7 860 / 870 to 4 and 4.2 Ghz @ 1.35 MAX. And my older Q26600 @ 4.0Ghz.

I disagree with everyone just setting the voltage for the RARE occasion you actually use over 10% CPU usage...

Very nice video thank you. I want to tell that the problem is going with ryzen chips its not compatible with directx 11 so maybe you lose frames in some games

Great video, 95% of the reviewers were only using supplied coolers not full custom loops or even the big Noctua D14 air cooler, you should try this or see if Alpha cool will give you a look at it....Alphacool Eisbaer 240mm AIO CPU Cooler. Its amazing!

If I only game should I buy 7700k or one of the Ryzen chips. I am considering to not upgrade the CPU for the next 4 years. I'm afraid that in 1-2 years everyone will be using 8core and I'll be stuck with quadcore or the other way around, which is why I don't know which one to pick. So, which one you think will be a better choice for the next 4 years?
