I see the iPhone one it connects to my TV fine, but im trying to get it to work on andriod because i have certain apps on there that i don't have on iphone

Is there a way to watch ROKU LIVE (say news) on an Android phone. I'm not trying to mirror or cast phone to tv ... I just want to watch ROKU LIVE on phone? Checked IP, checked system update, software update ... when I try to watch LIVE I get message asking if I want to "wake device". Unfortunately chat support didn't have suggestion.
