Brienne of Tarth meets the Tyrells

This is so weird because why would they not know each other? They were all in Renlys camp, brienne followed him everywhere and marg was his wife, they have no need for introductions

And what's funny is that the Queen of Thorns genuinely meant what she said.

I love the way in which Brienne drops her eyes when Lady Olenna says "We know who you are"...only to look up in surprise when Olenna says "Aren't you just marvelous!" Especially since Lady Olenna has a reputation for being sharp of tongue and uncharitable in her opinions -- they don't call her the Queen Of Thorns for nothing! -- Brienne expected Lady Olenna to criticize and ridicule her like nearly everyone else has done all her life...but instead, Olenna compliments her (which Brienne is obviously not used to). Then, when Olenna pats Brienne on the back for defeating Loras, Brienne can't hold back a little shy smile.

Poor, brave, stoic Brienne -- she's so used to being rejected (criticized, ignored, overlooked, mocked) and so unaccustomed to sincere appreciation, but she never really allows herself to become bitter or indifferent simply because other people have been cruel to her.
