Why Other People Don’t Understand INFJ Personality Types

Hyper-competitive INTJ here... I understand and appreciate INFJ's. I prefer to date INFJ's because you're like me but with the warm fuzzies I lack.

I have an INFJ partner and we struggle so hard to understand each other at times. Perplexing. 😅

People look at me like im a freak due to this specific personality type that i have "INFJ".

I feel like people just don’t have the patience to understand me lol and some do, and they end up realizing how incredible my brain works and I inspire them and change them for the better and also they help me grow and change for the better as well and I love that 😊 but I can sense when someone won’t have the patience to get me or understand me I don’t bother to even try to connect with those people and it’s 98% of the time 😂

What do I need to be understood for ? I know exactly what I’m doing. Just over here being smart and independent, living my best life !!

Oddly enough, I understand infj's more than I understand Fe doms like enfj and esfj

I like what you said both can get out of control if imbalanced, everyone is important and has a role to play like diff instruments in an orchestra playing in harmony. there r leaders, team members, analysts, & innovators. I realised what it is - in my opinion. We ALL fall at some point on a spectrum of sensitivity- from very sensitive to not sensitive. The thing is wherever you fall is GREAT - those who are not sensitive are TOUGH and get the hard jobs done - very valuable. Similarly the very sensitive notice subtle detail others miss and see truths others don't perceive- GREAT. But instead of respecting each other the toughies particularly have contempt instead of respect.

I am very results oriented, but it is for the overall greater mission not for the sake of personal achievement. I can care less for recognition and actually see it as a very immature attention grabbing quality (childish).

Even friends I've known for years have always guessed at things going on in my life and they were so wrong. I met an old friend for the first time where she worked and her other work mates knew all about me. I'm not narcissistic at all and I don't feel I'm all that. It really bothered me. I don't need a fan club.

My boyfriend understands the depths of who I am, and that is enough. People are irritating, and lack the knowledge and emotional awareness of how their behaviors affect others. Being quiet attracts pathological types. Always wanting to test to see how much I’ll take, expecting me to rise above. As soon as I get the feeling I’m dealing with a narcissist, I feel like a shark that smells blood. Each person has it own set of values , No mindset think alike . You can only be right to yourself, and not convince others if they refuse to listen, This is the art of letting It go. Respect each other’s mindset, by doing . You would avoid drama or any other conflict of interest .

I live in the Northwoods UP/Wisconsin border. I own a log cabin home with 8 acres. Obviously my internet speed is still fricking greese lightning. I'm retired from war and payed well. This was incredibly helpful!! I keep finding myself feeling so LONELY and frustrated with relationships that are close to me. You put words to what is wrong! ...the competitiveness drives me mad, and I feel constantly judged and misunderstood by these people. I know they have no idea how it's hitting me and I hold no ill will toward anyone, just so much inner turmoil and I blamed myself for it all. Thank you for explaining the need for finding someone else that is relationship oriented to help fill that need for connection. ❤

Thank you for your kindness and explaining my difficult life as an INFJ. I resigned my job that I loved end of August just because the environment was so toxic. Tested 94% empathic and 6% social while in the companies attempt to get harmony within.
At the moment I just want to be completely alone and not talk for weeks on end 😢

Its typically because the INFJ does not utilize enough SE in communication, Language and Behaviour. And rarely enough of the INFJ si..

This is the INFJs fault not "other people". Unless the INFJ was abused by other people and suffers development impairments.

Others: Walmart at 8.90 an hour doing inventory.
Me: So how do you and your boss work out an amicable work environment based upon enhancing the well-being of each employ into better conditions?
Others: Uuuummm, we don't? (Frowns of does this guy even know how the world works?)

OMG! This is spot on! I am definitely relationship orientated. I don't give a damn about status or degrees. Just that your a decent humble human 😊, I also value harmony and peace. That deep need for connection and I am fascinated by philosophy and psychology and about people's psyche. Does any INFJ here have Reddit? There's a great subreddit for INFJs and a page on Quora for INFJs.

honestly this doesn‘t make alot of sense to me. infp value intraverted feeling while infj‘s extraverted feeling. infj‘s defintly are prone to want social status, sure it comes after intraverted intuition, but this seems far fetched. also there is no explanation why these two types should be similiar, and not for example an enfj, or enfp.
