And this is coming from a medium class AC odyssey player I've watched a lot of videos and i learned many good tips I´ve not seen before. Makes me want to play more!!!! Which is great because i had amid life gaming crisis after 30 years playing video games, i lost motivation to play. and I love to play. Thanks for helping

What i did was spent hours going all.over the map just getting all the viewpoints now when a quest says go.halfwsy across thw map.many times ivefast traveled literally 30 feet from the objective

To be honest at hard difficulty you still need to time your second wind usages and its not just pressing a button there is still a skill element

I do agree with you about the game being pretty easy however Just cause it’s easy for most people doesn’t mean it’s easy for everyone.

I think you're a little confused.which in turn confuses everyone else, you said your "stacking a damage type" like focusing on spread shot..you know you NEED that ability to actually benefit from that engraving which spread shot is an ability you don't even have.!? I get it's demonstration but it makes it way more confusing for some than it has to be

I find the spartan kick best when boarding boats since you can kick enemies of the boat, and they count as dead

I’m usually fast travelling to the docks, works the same as viewpoints

Another tip keep up pressing the loot button while riding the horse when not on road, it will loot a lot of resources

That Sparta kick is over powered and i do not use it to kick enemies off cliffs because it feels like cheating. For example i can be level 1 vs a 99 merc and just kick him or her off a cliff and defeat them. That is cheating and a cheap way to defeat an enemy so i refuse to use it. What the developers should have done is make it where you can only kick them off when their health is down to one percent before you can kick them off. That is the perfect balance. I believe Rush Assassination is over powered as well and needs a balance. I do love the game though!!

Best way I found for materials and drachmae is dismantle all gear except bows. Sell bows. Bows sell the best.

I’ve played over 200 hours and this tips are absolute trash. Not for me, but for anyone who’s starting. This dude rushed into the tips, not enough playing time or experience to be actually useful.

Each viewpoint you synchronize to also makes tagging enemies and treasure easier with your eagle.

Ugh but synchronizing is such a chore... it always feels so long to wait. If it's right next to a ship dock I might still extnay it.

And the hero strike to me, is better than the healing. Just insta kills most grunts and deletes a lot of health off of a lot of enemy's. Even higher level enemies when having large assassin damage.

Some fights the healing thing is just really hard to hit. Once your adrenaline bar is out on legendary animals. And your fighting the boar ones. There is barely anything you can do to hit the beast and still be marginally safe. It would take 5 or so shots from a bow. But 4 or more good times dodge rolls or else your losing a 1/3 of your health or more per hit. Its constantly attacking you. Always pressuring you with no room to run. Making distance repeatedly and arrows and then switching to blades back to arrows worked for me. But by no means is it easy on hard mode.

Healing is almost worthless when facing an enemy 4 levels above you. 2-3 fast hits and your dead. And sometimes having just more attack options can be a better idea than always trying for a heal. It's good whenever your able to back off for a bit or run. But sometimes you just can't.

So it's a great ability. But doesn't make the difficulty of hard go down by very much.

Most powerful weapon, by far, is the whistle...
Even better than devastating shot.

300 hours in and I still cackle like a madman when Spartan kicking enemies off of boats during ship boarding.

Watching this video years later. Just getting into Odyssey now. You’re spot on with your criticism of some of the “tips” videos and content for this game. Even all these years later a lot of the videos I’ve found on the game are full of unhelpful stuff like that! 😂

i just come across this video there are better builds coming up devastating shot you are correct is the best bow skill im level 50 and max on most my skills now with the stealth tree u really only want 3 skills the rest are sunk into bow and weapons mastery tree i can basically one shot everything even when i was level 14 i would one shot every one including mercs and cultists

Interesting comment having just played through this or most of it that assassin's Creed Origins was difficult. I find I had to play Odyssey on hard just to make it feel like a normal assassin's Creed game.

I'm playing a high crit hero strike shadow build. So you pretty much one shot everything except red enemies.

i got alot done in Odyssey i got one cult member left to defeat i also got minotaur and cyclope to defeat in order start the fate atlanis dlc and torment of hades dlc also my ship is at legendary and i defeated Madusa

When farming ships and you have the option to board ram in in half instead

Hero strike is unblockable and can stop all incoming attacks but means you need high assassins damage

A good tip when raiding fort and similar places

Find a high spot and use the big horn bow and shot down most of the soldiers enemies it will make it easier to raid forts an similar places

Late to the game but thanks for this. Clearing some games from my steam back log.

I bought the complete edition of the game in the store and I went back through to make sure it downloaded everything and I saw the black unicorn looking horse with purple wings and it said gift and that horse is incredibly fast and when jumping off any cliff it's a nice landing because it uses it's wings to fly and land without killing your horse.

Personally I have two more tips:
1.- You can actually use the “AFK method” of “go to travel point”, but at the same time use the Eagle to see the map.
2.- The ability of taking off the shields of enemies is really useful. It makes you ignore damage while doing it and has a small radius of action, this means enemies that are close to you will also be affected with a little “stun” that can always come handy when charging other abilities or attacks
