ОтветитьHello everyone! Please help me! Properties are not displayed in UE 4.25 (although it may not depend on the version). In 4.14 version, the properties of the physical material are displayed normally when created.

ОтветитьI'm breaking my head trying to understand how could I use this to replicate sliding effect (like in apex, when you run down a hill and crouch, it start sliding). The ground material is always the same, should I swap a physic file in the character?

ОтветитьI created a 0 friction physic material and applied to my character (3d person) and he won't slide on slopes. Same material applied to a box would make it slide like u see in the video. Any reason for that ? Cheers

ОтветитьSo would it be possible to make a landscape layer that give the player increased movement speed while walking on it using this method?
I don't know how performance is affected and my knowledge of Unreal is still pretty low, but could you do a line trace from your pawn to the ground and when it returns true that there is a dirt road under the player it multiplies its Max Movement Speed?
Or is there a better way of handling these sorts of thigns
Was contemplating ways of making travel more convenient for the player when navigating a large landscape if they don't own a mount.
